***INCREDIBLY INCOMPETENT AND UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!*** One star for being willing to install a LiveRoof on a private residence. But: 1) It took 3 months to receive the formal quote which was double the verbal estimate); 2) The quote was never itemized as a scope of work document; 3) The Manager didn't order enough plant modules because of an ability to read the engineer design for the roof; 4) Both the Manager and Owner failed to return urgent calls on three occasions; 4) Nobody came out for a pre-work site inspection before commencing the job; and 5) Plants were not ordered in time for the job, so it ended up being delayed by nearly three weeks. Within all that were headaches and incurred costs. For everyone who has had a prior good experience with WLS: This is not Paul Vanden Engel's company anymore -- buyer beware!!

Called twice for a quote for landscaping, maintenance and tree removal, each time I am told I will receive a call in the early part of the following week. This has never happened. Terrible customer service. Will never use. Would love to give 0 stars. Nicole H.

Paul sent a crew of three to take down two pines trees in our yard. The guys were a delight to work with. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. I was pleased to see that they used safety gear for this job. We would not hesitate for a moment to have Western Landscape back to any task. We could not be more pleased with the work done for us. We has the western landscape team do our landscaping and would recommend them very highly. Our new design and install went seamlessly and the follow up was outstanding. Thanks so much Jeff and Marianne

Last summer when I was new to the Kingston area I needed some trees and bushes trimmed on my new property. I found Paul and his Western Landscape Services through a google search and I picked them because they seemed professional with a nice website and an email that was not a gmail or yahoo address. We were not disappointed! The crew showed up when promised, they were professional and did an awesome job - so much so, that I hired Western Landscape Services to do a large project with the front of my house. This project turned out so well that we can wait to do the next step. Also there was a problem with one of the stone steps that was put in after this spring thaw - Paul came out to see it and it will be replaced this season. The point in all of this is that Western Landscape Services do indeed stand behind their work.
