While it is not uncommon to experience issues with contractors, normally things can be worked out through professional conversation. My wife and I were sold a full landscaping job in spring 2017 by "Jack" who was very much everything will be looked after to your 100% satisfaction. It was clear they oversold jobs last summer and often a very inexperienced crew (some had no previous landscaping experience) that was left completely unsupervised. When the job was not completed to our satisfaction, we held back less than 5% of the original quote until things were fixed. I won't list all the issues but a few: worst sod job I have ever seen, small retaining wall is leaning badly already and will likely fall over and front flagstones were not set properly and move when you walk on them. It should be noted that when we tried to work through these issues with "Jack" we were made to feel like these issues were our fault. It would seem to me that a professional company would have planned better and used competent personnel. What was shocking was Jack's very aggressive reaction to the remediation process that I ended when he became threatening about final payment. I eventually received a phone call from his apologetic brother "Angelo" who was courteous and professional. We agreed on some final adjustments and small hold back amount. The work is supposed to be guaranteed and when we contacted Angelo this spring about the sod and retaining wall, he referred us to his brother Jack as he had left the company. Jack has just advised us that the hold back amount voided the warranty and they will not do any of the repairs that are necessary. I asked repeatedly to speak to an owner but Jack insisted he was the company spokesperson. Shocking an owner wouldn't contact us to remediate. We are now working with our lawyer to prepare legal action against Kings Valley. We have also contracted another landscaping company to fix these issues. If any interested party wants to contact me for more details or photos, I would be happy to share our awful experience and shockingly poor customer service so you don't have to go through what we did.

We comissioned Kings Valley Landscaping based on the work they had done on our neighbors yard, and their fence builders endorsement. 2 years later I have nothing but regret for ever having asked Jack & Kings Valley to help with our landscaping. We needed to remove our existing armour stones, our neighbours old wood retaining wall, and stumps, to have it replaced by a Pisa wall to gain square footage, and level our yard to make it useable. This is a lot of work and Jack did quote a lot, but based on the work next door we convinced ourselves that this was the way to go. That June Jack's crew was quick to take our armour stones for "free", while charging them to another site. Then we didn't see anyone for 2 months. Afterwards the fun began, sub contractor after subcontractor would appear and do half their job, argue with Jack then leave. Jack would ask for more money and the cycle continued. This went on from August to mid September (Remember, they started in June) meaning we lost a whole summer without our yard. Also, we asked for a level yard to control drainage to our neighbours lower grade property. Instead of doing that, Jack skimped on extra rows for our Pisa wall and left a 30 degree slope basically pointing any water right to our wall also making our yard unusable. Jack would also be unresponsive, argue with us, our neighbours, and his own subcontractors - basically a lose / lose for all. I'm going to have to re-do all of this... I appreciate that this may be a bad experience, because it seems they have done good work in the past. I would advise to keep them accountable and on track, and if you have to work with Jack, stay away as far as you can.

Angelo and his team built a new patio for us. I can't be more happy- job as done on time, very professional, grass was restored and result is amazing. The team worked in extreme heat conditions and finished the job as promised in four days. Definitely recommend!

Dealt with Gabe Gualtieri. Was a small paving job but claimed large amount of manual labour. Collected the money and later found out that a fraction of the work was done. I would not deal with Kings Valley or Gabe again. Save yourself money!!
