2013, $26k job. Alternative Grounds was recommended to us from a Toronto neighbour, and we were not disappointed. Our backyard was nothing but weeds, and we had a detailed list of specific requirements that we needed done. They took our list of needs and turned our yard into a beautiful and functional space. The work consisted of pavers, a 6' cedar fence, sod, grading, drainage, cedar steps, mulching, flower beds, and pruning. We are more than pleased with the results; it was done with superior workmanship. Michael, the owner, genuinely cared about our needs and wanted us to be happy with the job. Michael worked with us throughout the project to make sure we stayed within the budget, presenting us with options to keep costs low. The work was completed within the expected time. His team was polite, tidy, and on time. They cleaned up the site and hosed it down before leaving each day. The workers were kind to, and patient with our young children who wanted to follow them around and "help". All and all, we would hire the company again, and have already recommended them to others.
