Our family is officially in our sixth month with Rayito de Sol. I noticed a good chunk of the reviews here were from folks that participated in the grand opening, or otherwise did a tour, so I wanted to take the time to provide our perspective as a family with our older toddler attending school here. We are not Spanish speakers at home, but liked the idea of an immersion program--and still love what it is providing our son. But, much more importantly, what drew us to Rayito was the caring nature of the teachers. All of the teachers truly enjoy being with the students (lots of 'I love yous' at pick-up), and they have treated our son like their own. We couldn't be happier. Notably, our son's main teacher Stephanie is amazing. She speaks Spanish (obviously) and English, as well as American Sign Language. Our son really loves her, and you can see that they have had a bond from day 1. Stephanie is outstanding, and we've been lucky to have her. Our experience has been amazing all around. We are lucky to have selected Rayito!

WE LOVE RAYITO Our daughter started at Rayito when she was about 4 months and continued fulltime to almost 2 years. Our experience was exceptional from the beginning. Not only are they incredibly professional and well trained in child development, they really LOVE the kids. I never hesitated dropping her off or worried about her during the day. I know that the teachers love her like their own. Since we have no family in Chicago, this was the most important part to me. Rayito felt like an extended family to help raise my daughter. The only reason we're leaving is because we're moving to another state. Rayito has set the bar high and I'm afraid any other daycare will be disappointing to me. The daycare is well run and responsive to calls and emails. They've accommodated schedule changes, diet restrictions, etc. As far as the Spanish goes, there seems to be a mix of families. For us, we speak Spanish 50% of the time at home. Our daughter understands both languages equally but speaks predominantly Spanish so far. Conclusion: Rayito de Sol is a hidden gem in Chicago. We feel so lucky to have found them.

Would highly recommend Rayito de Sol to any parent looking to provide the best gift to their child(ren). Absolutely beautiful and colorful space, well-rounded program, and extremely caring and loving staff. You will feel the genuine and fun energy upon entering this amazing space. Your kids will have so much fun and receive the best care from their teachers and peers, as well as be fully immerse and learn the language and culture -- giving them the opportunity to see the world with a much broader perspective and the advantage of a second language. They will get the chance to experience a multitude of activities ranging from art, music, science, math, yoga, and more. Highly accredited school with a one of a kind program. Rayito de Sol is community oriented and feels like a family, that will welcome yours with arms wide open:)

Rayito de Sol was Godsent to our family! I was so happy and relieved to find a Spanish immersion — learning center for my young toddler in Chicago or even better yet, our neighborhood. My daughter force to be reckoned with she was/is extremely attached to me since I've been working from home since she was born. Although she is brilliant and adventurous, she lacks social skills that make it difficult to befriend kids her age. It's needless to say that I was nervous about leaving her in a daycare, but it's the best decision my husband and I made for her. Drop off is STILL difficult, but I know that I am leaving her in good hands! Camila & the teachers have been so sweet and welcoming since the day I met her, and we are so blessed to have found this facility!
