The nail technician did not make me feel welcome as she said nothing to me at all during the entire appointment. I had to say hi to her first in the beginning to get a response. I was very unhappy with the poor communication with additional costs. FIRST off, I asked how much it would be to do a design on one finger per hand and the reply was "$5". They did not clarify that it was $5/nail. SECOND, the other hidden charge that I did not know about was that it is an extra $5 if you choose more than 2 colors. How hard is it to communicate this to the client if you want to be professional and want them to come back? I would not recommend this nail salon if you are looking to switch places.

Update: made an appointment today, the girl doing my nails was rushing so much 30mins from start to finish, when I got got home I was looking at my nails the shape is different on every nail just the pinky was shown and that one is is great coffin shape and very bumpy on two of them the color appears not to be applied very well. Lee the ower has done my nails in the past and amazing outcome. Disappointed this time I would go back for them to fix but leaving for 2weeks tomorrow.

When the manicurist phones you after you leave, saying she is sorry she was rushed..and when the colour is unevenly applied.. when the shellac is too thick and makes your nails appear oddly bumpy.. when you are thinking about phoning another salon the very next morning to see if you can get in for a polish change - then you have had a bad experience! I won't be back. I searched for the highest rated place close to me - waste of my time.

I've been going to Jeena's for years, and the service, quality and welcoming staff never ever disappoint.

Made an appointment on a glowing review from a coworker, and went in for a acrylic fill - I arrived at 12, my appointment was at 12:15. I was made to wait 30 minutes, which I was told was because the girl ahead of me had been booked incorrectly. The initial appointment was fine, my tech was friendly and I didn't have a problem until I asked for the nails slightly shorter - she shortened only my right pinkie and ring finger, but none of the other fingers, which i didn't realize until after the appointment. The chrome that I requested on four fingers ( two on each hand ) took four or five applications to put on as it wasn't taking, leaving the application looking messy, thick and lumpy. I left after the appointment ( and wasn't charged for the 5$ buffer and file as I had been made to wait for some time, which was kind of them ) and began noticing issues as the day went on, mainly the texture of the chrome and the cloudiness of the nails. As I was unhappy, I called two days later ( my appointment was on Saturday and the salon is closed on Sunday ) and asked if it was possible to remove the nails and get either a refund or a partial refund. I was told that a refund was impossible, and they could only change the color. I was asked if I could come right away ( I called at 3 ) and I said yes - half an hour after this, I was called again and told to come at 5:30. Though a little frustrated as I was already on my way, I agreed, and came to the salon at 5:25 - where I was again made to wait 10 minutes before I was able to be helped. I said again that I was unhappy with the application and asked if I could just have a refund, partial or not as I did not have the time to wait. After saying this, I was quickly shown to a chair. Not wanting to complicate things or leave unsatisfied again, I simply asked for the chrome to be removed, the nails that were cut short to be lengthened in order to match the rest, and for them all to be painted black. During this, the nail tech told me that because I had asked for them to be shorter initially, that's why the two nails were uneven ( despite not touching any of my other fingers and just those two for some reason ) and it wasn't her fault. I left with a bad taste and a crooked nail on my middle finger. I have no doubts that this salon usually does good work, as evidenced by the other reviews. I do not know if I simply came on a bad day, or if my tech was having an off day, or what - I will not be returning to this salon nor will I be recommending it to anyone. This experience was disappointing, and I caution anyone who is looking to try this location. edit: A response was made, and I am further disappointed. If the nail tech thought my nails were already short, she should have communicated that to me instead of leaving me with uneven nails. Furthermore, she should have ensured that all nails were the same length. Additionally, I was asked by whomever answered the phone at 3pm when I called to come right away. I did not state a time as I was specifically asked "can you come right now?" and agreed. I work in the beauty industry myself and I recognize that services such as nails are difficult to deal with in terms of refunds or customer unsatisfaction, but the lack of professionalism in how this situation was dealt with and blaming the customer is unacceptable. I've changed this review to one star.
