Love this wee store. Best roasts I've ever had!! Great fresh produce and the deli is awesome. The dry ribs in the deli are to die for!! Delicious!! Staff is lovely and extremely friendly and helpful. Store is very clean. Great, great, great!!

I've been honestly enjoying shopping here since we moved to Ponoka a few months ago. The food is fresh and well organised, the customer service is phenomenal, and I love how most things are grown locally. The store is beautifully arranged and you constantly see staff making sure everything is perfect and people are helped which is a HUGE improvement from when we lived in Edmonton where you practically had to set out snares to catch an employee. Very well done, I'm excited to see how the expansion turns out.

I applied to work as a baker here, the interview went pretty well, I have quite a bit of baking experience including working at a Tim Hortons for over 4 years, back when things were baked from scratch, and for 3 years I was a pastry cook at a 5 star restaurant called Wildcraft and my resume proudly states this. The day I applied I received a phone call telling me the had chosen someone else, the following is a what the owner said over the phone on voice mail and it is taken verbatim. I have kept the voice mail "Hello Jeremie, it's Jim Hamilton from the Iga in ponoka we've finished all of our interviews and we've made a decision and we are going with someone else who has a bit more bakery experience, They've worked in an actual scratch bakery rather then just a restaurant and the Tim Hortons...." So thank you for your time and applying with us, we appreciate it, and we will keep your name on file if anything opens up in the future. Thank you" Iam going to come in the in the next day or two, and I would like my resume back. I'd also like for you to delete my name from your system. That was beyond crossing the line Reply to owner: Not being selected wasn't the issue Jim. You stated you found someone with a bit more experience and that would have been fine had you just left it at that. For some reason you felt it necessary to degrade my past work experience, by comparing it to JUST a restaurant and JUST Tim Hortons and the selected applicant worked in an ACTUAL bakery. Wildcraft is a 5 star restaurant that makes artisan desserts and pastries by the way. It just seems odd that JUST a grocery store expects such high standards for a minimum wage job
