I have gone to this salon off and on for years. It is very inconsistent, but this last time is the last. After paying to get fill, less than two weeks later 1 cracked and one nail snapped off. The main reason for me never going back is less about the ridiculous fact they made me pay AGAIN for the nails to be redone when they should have put enough powder on that it was strong enough to last for at least 2 WEEKS! ( And I wonder if this is another way they make more money?! ) My nails are not long and normally I have no problem. What makes me never go back is the fact that they didn't tell me of the charge. This is very sneaky and I do not support deceptive business practice. They are NOT allowed to charge you for services without your prior approval. They cannot "add" costs in without your consent. When I had originally got my nails done there, I specifically asked what is the TOTAL price for the nails and the lady who did them, while she was putting on the top coat mind you, tells me , "Oh, I forgot, this costs extra $5". Yet I had asked her what the TOTAL price would be before she even started. Now, I paid the extra $5 then, but I am tired of these"extra" charges that they try to give you AFTER they have already done it. This self righteous attitude and hidden charges is unlawful. All they have to do is tell the person the cost, but it seems like they wait until after and then what the"think" the charge should be. Plus, Crystal laughing at my nail shape (That was done at their salon) was very disrespectful. It is a nail shape for and your attitude is unprofessional and uncalled for. Get over yourself. *and the self righteous old white lady can mind her business as she didn't know the full story and as the customer I need to be satisfied NOT you.

I have been going to this nail salon on and off over the past 10 years. They have great, good, and decent staff who provide somewhat quality nail services. Recently, I have been seen by Crystal (my last 7 apts). She does good work, don't get me wrong, but the hidden fees are NOT OK, and the LONG WAITS are NOT OK. I always make an appointment. I arrive 5 mins early (its the polite thing to do) and she has double booked every apt I've been to. She will always say 5 mins, every 15 mins, for a wait of 45-90 MINUTES!!! whats the point in making an appointment if you have to wait this long.. I just don't understand. When its finally my turn (YAY) I always ask before choosing an extra color, design, etc. what the fee will be as I don't care to spend a ton on my short shellac nails. But in the festive months, I do like a little extra, if the price is right. I asked for a single snowflake on 2 nails per hand. 4 nails total. We discussed which nails, the simple snowflake and she said no problem, $5! It went from $5 for the design. To $5/nail once it was time to pay... Naturally, I was annoyed. And when I asked why, she said look how nice it is. WHAAAT?! That's not how this works...I had to pay... what choice did I have? You did not get a tip today due to this rip off and abuse of power. && let me be clear, this was not an issue of miscommunication. You have lost my business for good.
