She dug into my big toes to I guess clean out the sides which I have never experienced before at any nail salon. It was painful during the process and I wondered if she was injuring me by digging into me. I then got a bacterial infection on both big toes and my pinky toe from her tools. I have never in my life gotten a bacterial infection on my toes. This place is not clean or sanitary if this is what is happening. I apparently paid money to get an infection. No one had ever done that to me during a pedicure in 20 years. I do not recommend this place.

I’ve been here since they are open. I’ve tried a lot of places, they are the best . All the negative comments in this review are not true. They are genuinely nice and doing an excellent job.

I went in to get some acrylic nails before I headed out on holidays. The man working on my nails didn’t ask much of what I wanted but I trusted what he was doing. The gentleman never missed a beat in the conversation and we were always chatting about something. He asked me once after he was done shaping if they looked good and I asked for them shorter as I’m a server and unable to function with long nails. He refused to shorten them because “there’s no point in getting acrylics if they’re going to be short” when getting fake nails you always have to keep in mind the growth. Once my nails were done, the gentleman seemed to be a rush to get me out the door, which I found odd as I was the only one in the salon at the time. But I paid and went on my way. After getting the chance to examine the nails later that night, they were not at all what I was looking for. The shape was very off, and every finger was different, they were also a lot longer than I had asked for. I ended up spending 50$ on this set that not worth close to that. I went back the next day to get them reshaped. There was only one lady in the salon at the time and she told me I’d have to come back 1.5 hours later. I told her I would wait and she took me not 20 minutes later she took me. She did a fantastic job at shaping the nails how I had originally asked. They were also the length I had asked for. I was content at this point. I left the salon yet again, and while I was still in the parking lot, the polish chipped. Once I got to work I noticed another chip in a different nail. Overall, the customer service was nothing to necessarily complain about. The nails I received were NOT worth the price I paid. They’ve been on my fingers now for two days and they look pretty mangled. The products they use must not be of quality. After this experience, I will only return if I’m extremely desperate. I’d much rather go to the fashion nails on portage!

It’s been a long three months without my favourite nail salon. My nails are always done to my request and last for weeks! I get lots of compliments on them. Elsa has been my go to for several years. My wedding nails were perfect. ❤️ Happy you survived COVID 💖
