Service is excellent! I've been using the services here for over 5 years and it's always a job well done. The prices are also very competitive.

Very fast manicure and pedicure, the ladies very friendly.

HORRIBLE SALON! DO NOT GO HERE! Extremely unsatisfying experience, hostile/rude/unprofessional workers, TERRIBLE service. HORRIBLE PAINT JOB. I could paint my own nails better than they did. ONLY GIVING THEM ONE STAR BECAUSE GOOGLE WON'T LET ME GIVE THEM ZERO. I came to get a gel refill with regular polish for my birthday. 1) Of the two ladies working, one tried to pressure me into getting shellac (38$) instead of regular polish (30$), saying regular doesn't last as long. When I said I was fine with regular, she acted very angry and frustrated. 2) I got a regular polish with a single stone on each ring finger. After I sat 45 minutes to dry it under the fan, I saw that one nail had a big air bubble, the polish around the stone was ruined, another nail had a small hair polished onto it, and another nail had black speckles in it (probably from other polish residue that was in the top coat she used). Keep in mind: nothing touched the nails the entire time I was drying. When I asked if it could be fixed, they were very rude and said "That's what happens when you choose regular polish." EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. 3) After they "fixed" it (while very obviously ranting about me in their language), it looked even worse as the fix was rushed and sloppy. I had somewhere to be and requested to come in later in the week for another fix, they said "no, either we fix it again now or you leave." When I said I was running late and didn't have time right now to have it fixed, the lady screamed "K DO YOU WANT IT FIXED OR NOT?" 3) I said I paid full price for this service and this isn't what I asked for. The woman LITERALLY YELLED "Ok you go, come back tomorrow the other workers will fix it, we won't be working tomorrow." At this point I left. I thoroughly regret wasting $40 here. I paid before I got my polish on and I gave them a tip that they absolutely did not deserve. I don't know if the Lawson location is any better but these women have given the New Image brand a HORRIBLE reputation. I will discourage all the girls I know in the Scarborough/Pickering/Port Union area from going here.

Most salons now have plastic disposable liners for pedicure spas for sanitary purposes. They don’t. Pedicure and manicure were not the standard I’m used to. The person who did mine did not even clean beneath my toe or finger nails (she applied polish and I could literally still see dirt under my nails), and hardly trimmed my cuticles and jabbed the sharp part of the cuticle remover which made me flinch a couple times. She didn’t buff my feet thoroughly, and literally swiped the file a couple times on each toe and finger barely applying pressure and made no difference in shape. Didn’t ask if I wanted round or square. Didn’t speak or engage with at me at all actually. Massage had zero pressure as well. I decided to try this place as it’s closer than my usual place, but I likely won’t return. I’m giving two stars instead of one only because my nail polish was applied nicely and the other lady who I think was the owner seemed really nice.
