I took my sister in law's car here a few months ago. I had borrowed her car for three weeks while working on mine, and I brought hers in for an oil change. Prior to this oil change (within 500 miles), I had changed the air filter, transmission fluid, psf, and topped off all other fluids. Frankly I just didn't have time to do an oil change myself before returning the car. I told all of this to the technician when I went in, and went to get some groceries. When I returned, I was pressured to change the air filter and pay for a fluid top off (both done already by me, I was told the filter was visibly dirty). I obviously declined. When I went to leave, I noticed that the service reminder sticker was 2k miles off (saying my next change was due in 3k miles instead of 5). I brought this to their attention, and they hand wrote another one with a sharpie. This made me nervous, so I took out the air filter and it was reinstalled backwards (with the dirty side facing the engine). This was the first time in my life I have paid to have a car serviced, and I would never trust my vehicle to them. If I hadn't caught it, the car would face increased engine wear from an improperly installed filter and my SIL (not a mechanic) would have had oil changed prematurely wasting about $30 in usable oil life. Buyer beware.

The parts had to be ordered in but access to mechanical services was instantaneous. Knowledge, courteous and helpful staff. When you come here you feel right at home.

I have been bringing my van to this service station for about 2 years now. I started out bringing it in for general maintenance. Every time I have brought my van in the staff have always been friendly, kind, respectful and informative. I felt secure enough with all the staff and knowing they are knowledgeable in their information of vehicle's that when needed for more in depth service to my van I knew that this is the service station that I would be bringing my van to whenever it needs service. Thank you very much to all the staff at Alaska Chevron for treating me kindly. Evertime I have brought in my van to be looked or diagnosed whither it be due to my calling in and planning to bring it in or stopping in at the last minute. You will always have my business!!

I was super impressed with how quick they work, and how nice they are!I went in on the 29th of May, and was told what was wrong with my vehicle. They managed to contact my warranty company within the same day, and they scheduled me a appointment for a week later(due to my parts needing to be ordered). So on the 5th of June my vehicle was fixed super quick! I'll definitely be returning when/if I have more vehicle problems! I 100% Recommend them! 👍🏻Edited to add: I had went to 3 other shops around town and paid hundreds of dollars just to attempt to start the process with my warranty company. To this day, I still haven't heard back from any of the other places. Not that it matters now, but because I went through all this trouble and I had proof of everything, Simards gave me my Front End and Shock inspection all for FREE!! I wasn't expecting that, and I was so thankful for it!

Could not be more happy with the recent service I received from metro garage, they are now the only place I take my vehicles.

They said they would be done with my truck at a certain time and a day later they finished. Not without a wasted trip there after being told it was done and it wasn't. You get jerked around and pay full price for it. Will never go back.

Great and honest repair shop. Did major repair on a POS car and it runs fantastic. Love listening to the radio program too. Great advice on car and truck maintenance.

The team over at this shop is just that, a team. I've called and spoken to Trent or Billy at 7:30 am in a panic because something is wrong with my car. I always get the same response "Bring it on it, we will take care of you." I always get my car back the same day. They have a wonderful shuttle lady that brings me to work and picks me back up. Nobody likes car problems but they sure do make it easier when you have an issue.

Excellent service . Harry worked diligently to discover what was wrong with my daughter's car. He did not give up until he found and fixed what was wrong. Other shops would not even take a look at the car because it is no longer manufactured but they not only took it but were successful in fixing it. I recommend Midas Fairbanks. We are very happy with the work they have done. Update 12/27/17: Once again, Midas Fairbanks takes great care of us! Sandra worked hard to get us what we needed and thought outside the box to make what we wanted to do possible. She took the time to think and research and put together our winterization package. All their staff do fantastic work and I highly recommend them. Within the space of a few hours, they winterized our car. We are very happy with the friendly, honest, capable work. Update 5/2018: Midas Fairbanks did it's usual great job servicing our cars for the summer. Thanks!

These guys went above and beyond trouble shooting multiple issues with my '99 Ford F-350 7.3L Turbo Diesel. They kept me up to date with the diagnosis and when they had to take apart several things to find out those weren't the issue, I was not charged for it. I was only charged for what was wrong and what it took to fix it. Great guys / gals and they're really one of the only trust worthy shops in Fairbanks. I have found my car shop.
