Manitou is one of my favourite places ever. The family camps are the best way to enjoy an easy-going vacation for those who love camping, but hate tents. The cabins are essentially just four walls, a door, and four bunk beds but you'll be spending most of your time outside anyway! Meals are provided and always delicious (and there's always coffee in the morning!).
Note that the point on Google Maps is NOT the actual camp, but where you catch the boat that will bring you to the camp that's west down the channel. The camp is inaccessible by car.

I was pleasantly surprised! I had not visited this popular tourist spot since I was a teenager and boy has it undergone a revitalization! Not on has it had a strong facelift, so much has been added! I brought my almost 5 year old son and we spent nearly 2 hours here - and he was immersed the entire time! The tribute to the Edmund Fitzgerald is quite moving and of course being on the outside upper deck is always a thrill. An all around great stop on your journey to or through The Soo! Highly recommend!

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The campground is very clean and organized. The washrooms and showers out beat most motels. The facilities for cooking, washing dishes etc.... are awesome .I would highly recommend this campground for camping my stay was 7 nights
