I had a problem with a report from an Engineering firm and I asked for a second opinion because the report from the engineer who owned the firm and wrote the report did not add up. I asked the Kitchener based MTE Consulting firm to look at it for me. MTE Consulting directed this report to the correct person in their Burlington Office who was able to identify some misrepresentations in the report. They even offered some assistance to offer to the insurance company to hear what they have found in the report that did not make sense. Unfortunately the Insurance company did not want to talk because they felt their engineering firm from Barry Ontario coming all the way to Kitchener was correct. I guess we do not have good firms here in Kitchener considering the insurance company was in Kitchener. But with the information MTE gave me, it allowed me to have confidence to fight back and my claim was 90% upheld. I would recommend this firm for their honesty and due diligence to get to the truth and not worry about the corporation who hired them. After all engineers do have a high moral standard that they need to uphold.It was more important to get the report right then to worry where the next paycheck came from. I firmly believe the insurance company's Engineering firm hired, was solely thinking about their paycheck. Not the little guy that was just trying to get the truth, so they can apply for a fair claim.
