My daughter started dancing at Knapp 4 years ago, at age 2 and 1/2. The first few weeks were met with tears...now I can't get her to leave when class is over! All the teachers are extremely nice, so is the owner Mrs. Knapp she always greets you with a smile and is very understanding. I have been around other dance schools, what I love most about Knapp is that they are truly here to have fun while teaching dance. There is no pressure of solo's and none of that CRAZY "dance mom" syndrome! 😀

They are very rude to customers. Nice store but keep unusual hours so if you need to shop there either phone ahead to see if they are open or have a back up merchant you can count on. There has been many times I needed their products and would have dropped a couple hundred bucks into the till but unfortunately they either ignored me or they were closed. They prefer to wait on customers who LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE MONEY!

GREAT SCHOOL 10/10

Attended a live music show, The Mudmen, at the K of C Hall here. Nice facility, good hall and bar. Very clean and large bathrooms. Even had a coat check. Good spot to host a party!

Every one of my children completed their public school years here. I cannot say enough regarding the expertise of the staff, volunteers and students. ALL TOP NOTCH! The ONLY thing that was frustrating was trying to fit everyone in to the gym space provided.

Watched 2 great performances: 1 by the expert bag piper and drum player, and the other by the champion Highland dancer.

As a non-competitive dance school, the focus really is to develop skills through exploration, creation, performance and JOY. Not good for beginners at all. My partner and I went to the Viennese waltz class. I have a lot of dance experience but he had none. They were not good at teaching him and were moving way too fast when he obviously needed more attention. Very daunting and not very intuitive teachers. It really wasn't a good experience. When we left they assumed we were getting ready for a wedding and told us we should take privates to plan for it even though I said we weren't. We just wanted to learn to dance together! Might go back to try again on a different class.
