This as a great location, clean and well stocked. The manager Mario is always very helpful as well and will go out of his way to help you find what you need.

Bit expensive, but close.

I stop in here on my daily neighborhood walks. The guys who work here are super friendly and the shop is well-stocked. I'm not much of a drinker, but they have snacks and other items, too. There's always a game on and it's my lucky place to buy lotto tickets. Check out the bargain wine rack, too.

I ordered 3 bottles mid December, they charged me and it's February and no one will respond to me now. They have only 1 way to contact them and it's thru their online portal as an email perhaps and evidently they don't even look at it. I WILL NOT order from here again. Next step is reporting to the BBB.

This store is shit…they mark up EVERYTHING! Kid that works there in the morning literally has no idea how to use a debit card and how to get cash back. “I wasn’t trained how to do that” smh. Pathetic.

Very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. They were able to help us locate a bottle if wine that they did not have on hand as well as providing a solid recommendation to substitute for another item they had run out of.

Went into this store and it was about to close. I ask the clerk for items I wanted which came up to around $10. I pull out my credit card and he asked to see my i.d and I said no problem and showed it to him. He told me he couldn't accept my card because I didn't have suffix JR on my credit card so I showed him my American express which did have it on there and he still refused to let me use my card. He told me to come back and take uptheissue with the owner. I don't play the race card but there was a asking gentleman b4 me and he was not asked to show his i.d when he used his card. What's up with that?

On the expensive side on the expensive side for sure if you can avoid this do so

The guys at Saddleback Liquor are always chill. Oh and they have the best black wife beaters and plain white T-shirts... But also everything you need in a liquor store

Excellent prices! Great customer service! Awesome selection! Plenty of parking! Whether you need help pairing a red wine with dinner, a nice bottle of scotch or good price point on local beer this store is sure to meet your needs. Eddy runs the store and takes pride in doing so. He makes a point to learn names and is a total gem. They have late nights snacks like ice cream, chips, candy or iced coffee, creamer or nag champa if you need. I love their seltzer selection and I often I grab a bundle of firewood. Cherry on top? You can use Apple Pay or other tap payments. Also, they my pup treats :)

They don't accept change for the most part. I got banned and security called on me for bringing in change... I have been going there for years since I moved here! My favorite store in the city and she embarrases me in front of a store full of people throwing change at me in a brown paper bag, telling me to get out and my change is null and void. I mean threw it at me! I cried out of embarrassment and asked her why she was treating me like this. She called security... I talked to the owner and he said it was ok for me to come back just come during night shift when she's not around... Kevin is an amazing man and a staple in the community! He is more than a hero! I thank him for his kind heart and youthful spirit! I'd hang with him anyday 🌞 he told me just to kidnly ask her if it was ok for me to come back after two months! Work has been a bit unsteady due to COVID-19 and I'm a waiter so I just don't always have a million bucks in cash... I always have the correct amount of change to where even the other workers don't have to count it because they know it's the correct amount... I've tried my hardest to not have to go there unless urgent and it's difficult because other than Ralphs they are the closest mini market to me! 15 miles to the nearest in Claremont at the 7eleven... I have to realize that not every one has your crest interest but to forgive always and don't take it out on others! Be kind people of la Jolla, be kind! Have a blessed evening
