Distillery

Half Moon Bay Distillery is a small, local distillery that prides themself on producing super premium quality spirits using, with rare exception, all natural and organic ingredients and botanicals. Their small batch, artisan Purissima Vodka is distilled from 100% grain and is true to their “smooth and silky” description. Another winner from this distillery is their “Lavender Vodka.” The lavender tone in this vodka is nothing short of amazing. The flavor is so perfectly nuanced that I’ve come to the conclusion that their distiller is a gifted savant. How else could he continually get absolutely everything right? The Harvard Avenue Gin is about as tasty of a gin that I’ve ever been privileged to drink. Even though it was about closing time (my bad), I was treated like a king and did the full sampling. I would describe the tasting room as a smallish warehouse only slightly off the beaten path in Half Moon Bay. There’s plenty of space to host a business or social event. Great vibe to the place and superior liquor.

Great for hard to find liquors. It won't be cheap, but it's a great resource (they have to ship it in special, remember, it's like living on an island up here)

I really like the staff at this location, and I enjoy the broad selection of wine. This is our go-to liquor store in the region. It is always clean, well-stocked, and well run. Recommend.

Awesome service very nice people. I always pay with my phone usually for some reason wasn't working I didn't have debit card on me, but was money in the account . Anyways Grant was a awesome guy and wanted to pay for me I said to him can use my credit card but he insisted. So awesome 👌 I will never forget that thank you Grant.

My family and I love this place!! Every time we go in I have the hardest time deciding what to drink, because all their cocktails are tasty. I’ve also been able to snag some of their whiskey bottles and have been pleased with every pour. On top of all of that, the atmosphere is extremely welcoming, customer service is top notch, and they go above and beyond when it comes to involvement in the local community! If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping in.

Like a PipSkoppe for beers! So many, you pick from more than 20 inhouse beers and make your own 4 pack. Prepacks are offered too. Small tasting bar and a quaint sitdown area for 20ish. No craft brewery in Alberta or BC like this one! Well brewed, SpruceTip beer and Pumpkin really wild! Go There, worth the 3 day drive!

Met a h**ker here, had a good chat about the state of this town and bowling. I think that's the only good experience I've had around a liquor store

Very refined and impressive. Will easily and proudly hold its own over many-a-fine Single Malts from across the pond (read Scotland). Price is a tad steep but the taste will win you over. Good news: my son, grandson and daughter-in-law live in Whitehorse. Sad news: I am in Montreal. Cheers all!

Food has a fantastic quality / quantity / cost balance! I loved the pizza there and it is certainly a top choice for the Italian pie in town. If a softer crust is your jam, this is the pie for you! My only nit-pic is that it needed more sauce, but I'm sure that it's an easy ask for the kitchen. With that said, I hope the kitchen enjoyed the "buy a kitchen a round for $20" option that we found on the bottom of the menu! I have no idea what it gets them but hey it was fun to do. I plan to make it a habit whenever I visit the city and I want my Italian pie again :)

Believe it or not if you go in there you can buy this stuff that has alcohol in it and drink it.

Really cool setting with great history. They offer tasters and are willing to answer any questions you have about distilling/life in Fairbanks. Plus they make a great cocktail!

Brown jug has lots of choices for a great price. I buy 6 bottles of wine at a time because i love the discounts.
