I started at sage trucking and found myself set up for failure, when I was done with class work I was ran through a pretrip and a in cab twice and was handed a drive schedule and was told sink or swim, during a three week time off I was taking care of my 95 year old grandfather who fell and died within those 3 weeks so I also had a funeral I attended and all sage trucking could call and say is you have to get it done !!!!!! I felt like I was forced into a test set up to fail ! I then went to Apex training program and told them my story and what I lacked for a driving test , I spent the next 2 weeks going over pretrip, backing and shifting with instructors who all taught equal same course tactics and training that help me finish with success!!! I would recommend Apex trucking to everyone because they Got instructors who care about there students success and want them succeed, thanx Apex .

Instructional technique was given as should be to an individual with much experience driving. New driver's beware, the lessons are designed for people who are far more adept at vehicle operation. If you struggle with any concepts do not expect to have the opportunity to fine tune them, rather aimlessly adjust between snippets of rushed verbal instruction; No chances to truly understand the errors made are had which highly hinders learning. Irrelevant and prying interrogation takes time away from learning, and instead serves to reduce the output of instructor effort; Referring to aimless chatter that makes the student uncomfortable as training for distracted driving is a poor way to cover inadequate teaching.
Additionally, some very insulting implications were made about the author by the instructor. Having a personality that differs from the masses and a learning style that requires precise verbal input for results is not something to speak obscenely about. The shortcomings of an instructor are not determined by a student, especially one trying their hardest to follow instructor critique and never having driven with an instructor before.
I would advise any novice drivers, especially those virgin to the driving instructor experience, to seek elsewhere. You will not find success if you do not match the majority of students passing through this school.
The experience was a waste of time and money, as I did not even receive a full lesson due to the instructor expecting a complete understanding of every concept prior to entering; Driver theory is the key to earning the Learner License. Despite this, theory applies to reality in ways that are nigh impossible to practice without firsthand experience. The expectations of the students prior experience are unrealistic. Finally, the disrespectful behaviour of the instructor to the student post-lesson is unacceptable. It would be a wise reminder that the currency of disrespect is non-refundable.
I would not reccomend this product or service to a friend.

This school is awesome! The staff is all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the trucking industry. The instructors have patience and I loved going to school there. It's great to work with these professionals towards a class a license! If you listen and soak in what they teach you will learn a lot. Job placement is great and even after a couple years are helpful with leads for jobs.

the trucks for training is very old there is one instructor his name is john do not go with him he is a miserable instructor all he knows is to act like he is the head of NASA and always shouting show bad attitude the other instructors are good. sometimes they put 4 people in one truck which is not acceptable you do not have enough time to practice when you fail they blame you. then they ask you for more money

I had seen this school advertised through several different mediums and was looking forward to going there, but after talking g to a handful of folks about the place and reading the reviews I'm going to have to pass for somewhere else... Even if I have to drive a little ways out of town, I hope the management there ups it up a bit and polished up their repetoire.. best of luck
