Watts Control response during a period of heavy power outages in our town and neighboring towns was excellent.

Don't make my mistake: I asked for a written estimate and they said "they don't like to do that". Still, I let them do the work because they were able to quickly get in and get the work done. Boy, was that a bad idea. Needless to say, the oral quote I received was nowhere near what I paid: Said it was about a two day job. Ended up taking seven. The job was explained to be done one way and actually done another way. Materials, that he claimed would be "minor", ended up being 20% of the overall bill. Not one phone call or email was sent my way during the time I was being billed. I had to investigate what was going on to finally get the job done. When I asked questions, I got talked around and spoken to like I didn't understand that they have building codes. Most of the reasoning I was given was disputed by a retired electrician I spoke to. Overall, the work is done, but I would never...ever...recommend them. If you want them to bid. Get it in writing. As for me, never...ever...again.

Tree took out power line at 2 AM. Called Power company. They said "gotta cut your power; you need lic electrician to fix power at house, then inspector says ok, then we come and re-connect power". So I called an umbrella electrical service organization and ended up getting connected to Sylvester Electric. By 8:30 AM (same day) Sylvester said that they would have "Bob" out to my house about noontime. Bob showed up on time, got my electrical fixed by about 5 PM (the electrical pipe had come off of the house, the meter was hanging: replaced all), inspector blessed the job and called the power company. Power company came about 11:30 PM, power back on about 1:30 AM. VERY SATISFIED with Sylvester Electric: demeanor of everyone involved: Molly on the phone was caring and pleasant to deal with, and Bob and (sorry, can't remember name) who showed up on time and did a great job, were quite personable and very forthcoming about the work that was necessary and what the cost would be.
