Let this be known that the 5 stars are for the employees Patrick and Nicole. First, Patrick is one of the best sales persons I have ever come across in my 45 years of retail shopping. He knows how to engage with customers and would not let me leave the store without feeling satisfied. That is top- notch customer service and he will go places in his career because he has what you call a positive and engaging attitude towards customer service. Next up Nicole, a very lovely employee, beautiful smile and funny and makes the store look inviting to come into and unlike other retail stores, she seems to be able to understand the concept of space and that retail also has customers with disabilities who need it to get around. Sadly, the girl at cash with the dirty blond almost yellow looking hair needs to take a crash course in customer relations because she has no concept of how to interact with and engage with customers. She had such a scowl on her face the whole time I was at cash and asked me to slide my card and failed to remove the guard on it and then wondered why my card was not working. She seemed to say with her body language the whole time I was at cash: Do not bother me, I work in this store but I am more like a show room dummy and not a real employee. I am not sure how she made it past her interview with her lack of social skills. Other than that, great service from the others including a few floor staff. Note to owner/manager, I will return but if that Sister Yellow Hair Nightmare is there, I will be walking back out.

One of the original stores in Ottawa staff is never to busy to answer any questions. Huge selection and great sales

John olson hockey is 5 star

The staff at Valiquette are knowledgeable, friendly and always go the extra distance for their customers. The renovated space on Carling is fantastic - well organized and clean.

Great apparel company! Everything from hats to jackets to jeans and footwear!

Great prices and efficient staff.

Was in the market for a new pair of shoes for ball hockey after my badminton shoes tore apart after several seasons of arena and gym use. Found ballhockeygear.ca and saw they had a great selection of shoes designed especially for ball hockey as well as sticks and other equipment. Needed help with fitment questions on a pair of Knapper AK7 and saw they were located nearby! Called them up and Riel was good enough to drop what he was doing and meet me at his warehouse to try some on to make sure I had the right size. Bought them on the spot after chatting a while about the local Ottawa ball hockey scene lol Was very impressed with their inventory and Riel really knew his stuff. Will definitely be recommending them to my team mates.

Great choice, helpful staff

Great place to hold small parties. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Pleasant professional staff with service orientation. A decent sized store with a good selection of products.

We play 3 on 3 there...always quiet. Bar is never open though.

Amazing customer service. . They went above and beyond helping me get skates for my son

Good memories in this old rink. Cold always

Amazing employees! Best skate sharpening in the world, you can tell the employees have played hockey! I highly recommend.

Got terrible trade-in value for my skates and the service was very pushy- up-selling was the only thing on the salesperson's mind. Would not recommend. Edit: As it turns out, my visit to Power Play was more of a rip-off than expected. The skates I purchased were garbage and need replacing (they were not fit for use). Know your stuff before shopping here.

Great venue. The outdoor experience is truly one of kind. Just remember to bundle up, it gets cold up top when the sun goes down.

AMAZING service!!! I needed an affordable pair of skates when a blocked shot messed up my old pair. Owner had a nice pair of Graf skates in my size for a great price. He also offered to take my messed up Easton's and get me a quote to replace blade holder, and to sell them for me if I wanted him to. Hard to find service like that anymore, let alone such a selection of good used hockey gear! Will definitely be returning, and suggesting this place to anybody I know who needs any gear or service!
