Building a house can present a multitude of obstacles along the way, and in every instance when the going got a little tough, you and your team were able to come up with workable solutions that we could all be happy with. Has been nothing but a pleasant experience. Sales people are friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and included in the process beyond signing the paperwork. Craftsmanship is great. With any new house there is a few errors and that is why there is a 30 day and year inspection - which was timely and complete. Customer service in regards to warranty is good - always replied to emails and concerns and have always sent a tradesman to fix any problems within a day or 2. Houses are not built by robots and machines and is crucial to understand this and be patient, nothing is perfect - this is not a Cardel only problem, you will find this with any builder. What is important is that they respond quickly and rectify the problem, and they have in my experience. In regards to grass - homes have to sit for 3+ seasons to ensure there is little ground movement when asphalt/ grass in complete. This allows for a better take to the land. They did start at the "other" end of the community but it seems as though due to the later construction, weeds had not grown there as much as was easier to grade and lay sod. Also better to have sod laid in the fall months so it will not die. Although not ideal for summer months, this was smart on Cardel's end. Buying earlier in a construction zone it is crucial to know you will be sitting in mud and dirt for a longer period of time. Streets are always clean and workers are courteous to allow you to pass on your way in and out of the community. Location itself is great as well, close to amenities and very easy access to HWY 7 to get into Ottawa. Of course there have been errors and mistakes, nothing is perfect, no wall is ever straight. All in all a great product and a great team that takes pride in their product and work, and pride in ensuring any deficiencies are attended to. All it takes is patience and understanding on both ends. You will not be disappointed.

Just recently discussed with Olympia Homes sales person option to build Sophia home with breakfast nook. The price agreed with the builder was $574,900. After receiving my deposit for the lot, Olympia Homes sent me a contract with the agreed price but the Breakfast Nook removed from the project. After my complain, they told me the foundation was built already. On my question how it didn't impact the price they reduced the price. It's not the level of project management I would expect, which raises a lot of questions about trust to the company that builds a house for your family

Top quality builder.

My wife and I worked with Carl at Oasis Homes to build our dream home. Obviously the entire process of finding property, designing a home, making changes, and seeing it through can be quite stressful and overwhelming. We appreciated Carl and how he handled all the upgrades my wife and I wanted to add. Carl was very fair on upgrades considering all of the horror stories I have heard from friends and work associates about their builders. Then it came down to the construction of our home where Blake, our project manager and their ENTIRE crew were exceptional! Whenever we did run into issues which all construction has, Carl and his team were absolutely fair and right on the ball with timing which is everything in a build! Oasis would do what they needed to do to make it right. We have been in our home 3 months now and everything is great! My wife said I am crazy for wanting to move after everything we put into this, but if we did I would definitely have Carl and his crew be the ones designing and building our next dream home!!!

The negative review is not associated with an Atlantis Homes build project but a sister company of Atlantis Homes. Furthermore, it wasn't the builders decision to take down the large tree but a requirement of the utility company. Ironically, the individual complaining about the tree coming down wouldn't grant the homeowner a utility easement which resulted in the tree removal. Thanks for reading.

The House is nice for the price that was paid originally. They have terrible communication and they really don’t seem to care for after purchase service. Without going into detail of every issue we had, the company would be better if they learned to keep track of work half done, and communicate between workers, site supervisor, head office and third party company ABC Plumbing. Generally speaking the workers were nice. But the company as a whole values getting the job done quickly and cheaply.

The homes speak for themselves. I follow them on Facebook and they build some very beautiful houses in the SE Michigan area. If you are looking for a new home, I suggest contacting them to see what they have available.

Some of the issues I had with my house: Typar and Vapour barriers not taped, Patio door and dining room window had not been caulked. Simple skipped steps that cost us thousands. Many people in my neighbourhood had a class action lawsuit regarding the roofing. The subcontractor he hired claimed bankruptcy. Many issues have gone on and on.
