Machining

Absolutely sloppy workmanship! Recently had three holes repaired on an aluminum valve cover, needed them welded and rethreaded. I specially stated I was restoring this valve cover as it's very rare and I wanted it done properly. All faces where the threaded holes were located are a machined surface. Someone appeared to take a shortcut and made it a curved surface instead. Then the one hole is extremely sloppy, worse than a 1b thread fit! The portion surrounding the hole is also raise with a rounded design, but they ground away too much material. To top it off they charged me at the top of the estimate. Now I am currently on the search for someone who can repair this butcher job. Update: Just called me on the phone earlier today, I believe it was the owner basically harassing me and making false accusations against me. Absolutely sickening the professionalism this shop lacks!
