Don't get fooled by K2's contract scheme, although the instructors are great at what they do (hence the 2 stars). The system set up is to take your money. The vibe in the gym isn't as inviting as some of the other clubs around Ottawa and the staff seem to take special time to the students competing, which isn't too fun. Although K2 doesn't sandbag their ranks, the company seems to be at a rookie level of management (at least for the Barrhaven location).

We have been attending the Panda Jiu Jitsu classes for over a month and I have nothing but good things to say. The classes are a lot of fun and the teachers are great with the kids. Care is taken so that every child receives the attention required to thrive. I highly recommend parents give it a try.

I was a student of 'Sensei' Randy many years ago. He is a masterful Jiu Jitsu instructor, and his teachings of discipline and respect complete the traditional martial arts curriculum. I'm glad to see he is still having a positive influence on the community.

Holloway's Isshinryu Karate School

As close to perfect Isshin-ryu as possible! (imho). I broke two patio bricks my first class (1 brick, 2 times). I feel what I learned is very, very effective in any street fight. Isshin-ryu is my favorite striking style. Sensei Holloway is a very dedicated teacher, as are all the black belts. Money well spent here!
