Private Schools

School is amazing, love the teachers and staff. My daughter has been going here for 2 years now and she loves it!

Best school in the Kanawha Valley

Our boys love it there. Yes it is very tough , but worth it

We, as a family, have been able to learn and grow in a truly unique Montessori community. Our two children have been challenged as individuals and have exceeded all of their expected educational goals! In our opinion, the finest Montessori experience available in Charleston!

Choosing Mountaineer Montessori for our son (now in third grade) was the best decision we made as parents. The staff is highly qualified and experienced. Exceptional academic programs, singular arts (instructors from the WV Symphony Orchestra and Mountain Stage) and supplemental activities provide an unmatched educational experience for children. An on-site reading and learning specialist, computer lab, physical education at the University of Charleston pool and gymnasium, after school and summer camp activities are just a few of the programs that make this school so special. Nurturing environment, great parents, exceptional teachers and of course amazing kids create a family atmosphere that promotes joyful learning. Great for kids 3-12.

My son got the best education at this school. He was so advanced that is went to college at the age of 16 and is currently working towards his masters degree. This young man continues to use his teaching of Christianity in his daily life. This school is the best kept secret here in Charleston,WV

Old school before torn down. Teacher Brother Tom stole Buzz Lightyear. Promised to give back. Never got. Left town, and went to Georgia.

My son has attended this school since preschool. I wouldn't have him enrolled anywhere else. It is worth the financial sacrifice to provide my son with a faith based, comprehensive education.

Excellent school with good teachers and staff.
