Memorial Park on Marine Drive, adjacent to the White Rock Pier, has reopened the west side of the park, beside the Museum and Archives building. Benches and a splash pad for the kids, is now open as part of the $4.5 million upgrade. The White Rock Pier comfort station (public washrooms) are still under construction in September.

Stopped in for complimentary tastings today after having a free sip at Nelson's Wednesday morning market. The vodkas were especially nice but my personal favorite was the gin, so that's what we bought. C$40 per bottle vs $45++ at a private bc liquor store. Can't wait to mix up some martinis once I get home.
The tasting room cannot be more rustic, and no pressure to sell you something. Certainly no commercialism here like you find in the larger establishments. And the offerings are very tasty indeed.

We go every year for my nephew's birthday and every year it is so much fun. The staff are very attentive without being pushy. Everytime we go it seems like they are always expanding so there is always something new to experience. On of the highlights of the fall for me.
