Thrive
108 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, A1C 2H2, Canada
I think this place is a really good place for people who have addictions to go and get clean supplies and even get hygiene products and on Thursdays they have hot meals for the community, there should be more places around like this and they have awesome staff members!!♡

The Rooms

An absolutely stunning display of Newfoundland history.
The place was very clean, and great display throughout, all categorized by occasion.
Then there was a little area where there were several musical instruments, and many people would just gather and play, and just enjoy being a part of a community.
The gift shop was great, and to top it off, the people working there were quite friendly.
I highly recommend this place to anyone that visits the area.

Carnell's Funeral Home
329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, A1B 1C3, Canada
Carnell's is very much showing its age. The carpets and furniture have not been updated in a decade, and dusting appears to occur on a slightly shorter annual schedule. Attempts to move forward technologically with photo slide shows is affected by the staff not paying attention to the fact warning messages and updates are displayed on the screens for hours.
There is no doubt that constantly dealing with death can become tiresome, but if you can't show pride in your work, it's time to move on.
