Reviews aren't my specialty however, on this occasion, I thought it'd be best to share my experience. Having found a deal on solar panels, my next purchase was to be batteries. I had no idea about lithium, lead, AGM, ...but from what I was reading, 2 Brattleborn 100ah 12v batteries were the best on the market for my use; however at almost $900 a piece, I couldn't afford $1,800 at that time so I put a search alert on Craigslist for 12 volt batteries. A few months went by and then I noticed the ad from Specialized Power aka Pacific Sun. They were local and were offering two 12 volt 100 amp hour batteries with BMS at a really reasonable price so I dropped them an email. It was late at night but Zach wrote right back. I informed him I was looking in China, found a few, and also was looking at Battleborn. Zach informed me to be wary of China cells and that their battery was better than Battleborn. After looking at their website and noticing they were new, I laughed because of all the positive reviews were for Battleborn. Being skeptical because Craigslist wasn't really a place that had a lot of 12 volt batteries for sale, I decided to deal with Specialized / Pacific Sun because I couldn't afford to pay $900 for a battery and their price was considerably less. Even though the location was only about 2 hours away, I really didn't want to pick the up the battery due to distance, was skeptical because of the new company, price, and that the first battery I purchased on Craigslist went bad; however I decided to purchase it online anyway, sight unseen. Win some, lose some.
Zach the next morning, on Saturday, sent the package, tracking information, and wrote it was going to arrive in 2 days. I thought it was going to take much longer and was surprised it was going to arrive so soon. Even before the package arrived, Zack was emailing me information about the battery and what to expect which was refreshing especially for a new company. When the battery arrived, I noticed packaging was dented and crushed a little on the side, so I was really nervous upon opening. When I opened the box, it was padded with foam and I was pleasantly surprised with the digital readout of the BMS. I hit the button and it read 80% full with 000 capacity and all the rest zeros. I didn't understand why they were all zeros so I emailed Zach and he wrote me right back and asked me to take a photo in the morning. In the morning I plugged in the battery and the capacity started Raising and the 50 watt rated device I was using read 48.9 Watts on the BMS readout. Plugged in my device and everything worked fine, then fired a small microwave which easily powered. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the battery, the BMS system, service, shipping time; everything. Plus, I don't understand why Battleborn doesn't have a digital readout. This battery is well made and seems like it's going to last a long time. I'm glad I purchased the battery, spent my time and money with this company because site unseen purchases sometimes have problems. So far, this was undoubtably one of the best purchases I've made in a long time so I definitely would recommend purchasing your lithium battery from Specialized power / Pacific Sun because their price and service were great and I'm an overall happy customer. In a few months I'll be sure to give an update because time will only tell.
