Met with Dr. Jeff Watson back in January to discuss having a wisdom tooth pulled. He explained the procedure and payment method which was payment upfront. I went in last Friday and went through the procedure without a problem. I was afraid I would have to take part of next week off work but I could have gone to work that night. Jeff even call me that night at 8:15 to see how things were going. This experience was better than expected.

Dentists, need to remember, their patients are often stressed, in pain, and there MUST be a calm atmosphere and the dentist MUST NOT exacerbate stressful situations in their office, especially since their patient is also their customer...paying dearly for services rendered. This Dentist failed on all counts of the opening statement of this post. Looking at the ratings and reviews of others for this dentist, I see there are other 1 star ratings. Unfortunately those people did not write a review to tell you why they only gave this dentist a one star. I will. My son had his wisdom teeth out this week. Before the procedure, he wanted to make sure that all was in order so he called ahead to ask if he needed to have a form of payment with him, after all the price to have your wisdom teeth out is hefty. He had the receptionist on speaker phone and his girlfriend was there listening and taking notes of the conversation for him. When he asked if he needed payment with him up front, they both plainly heard "No you don't need anything except yourself and someone to drive you home." When he got to the dentist, he was told he DID NEED up front. He explained that he had specifically called ahead and was told he didn't need to pay up front and was not prepared right then. They went on to rudely tell him he was NOT told that and in fact, told him if he did not have payment with him, they would not do the procedure that day, never mind he had arranged a week off work for the procedure and recovery and his girlfriend had arranged time off to drive him home. Money was not the issue!!! He simply had it in another account and had not gone in prepared since he was told he did not need it up front. Luckily, he was able to make a call and move money on the spur of the moment. But, he was not happy as this is why he had called ahead. Then, where this office really went wrong was they went on to tell him that he was NOT told he did not need to have a form of payment up front, when had been. During his revisit today, he mentioned the upsetting episode to the dentist. Dr. Watson cut him off immediately and proceeded to tell him he was NOT told that; it is not their policy. He said to my son, "There is NO WAY you were told that!" and went on to say no one would say that to him. In the end he didn't let my son talk, speaking condescendingly over him. He more or less called my son a liar. One thing my son has never been accused of is being a liar. He has been accused of his brutal honesty, but never of being a liar. Saying that, all my son was expecting from the doctor was an apology or even an, "I'm sorry but there must have been a misunderstanding..." or "maybe the receptionist was distracted and did not fully hear your question." (which is what we feel likely was the issue) but, there was no professional courtesy towards the patient, the patient who keeps the dentist living in the lap of luxury. We do not doubt their policy is PAY UP FRONT. But, the doctor has forgotten who pays his pay cheque! As much as he ARGUED his point of it "being their policy", why did he think my son, who obviously had the money to pay, called ahead? Dr.Watson could use some common sense. The patient, who was there because he was in pain was forced into an argument with a dentist who was not even present for the phone conversation. My son has no complaints about the procedure but make sure you have payment up front, if you're going to see Dr. Watson, even if they tell you, you don't need it, because his receptionist and office are beyond reproach and admonishment. And, that's their policy. After all how else can he keep up with Dr.Jones.

I had a great experience getting my wisdom teeth out with Doctor Watson. The procedure was a breeze, and when I had issues following, he got me in right away to take care of me.

Dr Watson and his team are excellent. Best experience I have had with a oral procedure. He did Two very difficult removals and I woke up feeling great. The professional care and concern are second to none. Highly recommend.

Excellent chairside manner both before and during procedures, does an extremely good job of laying out the options and expectations in layman's terms. Very competent physician with a strong supporting staff.
