I went to Dr. Brown's for an appointment this morning at 11:40am. I wasn't actually seen by someone for my appointment until 12:10pm. I booked off a day of work today in order to see Dr. Brown because I chipped my front tooth yesterday. Once I was seated in an examination room Dr. Ron (Dr. Brown's associate) came into the room, examined my tooth, took a photo of the chipped tooth and then told me that no-one had time to fix my tooth that day. On the phone when I made the appointment the previous day I said to the receptionist that my tooth was chipped and that I needed it fixed and I asked when Dr. Brown would be able to fix it. She gave me the appointment today for 11:40am. When I asked to see Dr. Brown Dr. Ron said that he was extremely busy and had to leave for a meeting. Finally when Dr. Brown came in he examined my tooth said he would "prep" it and then Dr. Ron would finish the work needed to be done. I protested at this saying that I booked the appointment with Dr. Brown and was expecting to have the work done with him. Dr. Brown explained to me that an 86 year-old gentleman was an hour late for his appointment which is why they didn't have the time to work on my tooth today. I was very confused as to why the appointment time was kept at this point. I do not believe that my appointment should have been this affected by another customers mistake. Not overly impressed by this I decided that the only way to have my tooth fixed today was to let Dr. Brown do the original "prep" work and then let Dr. Ron finish the actual work. I was concerned that at this point Dr. Brown was going to rush my dental work so I didn't feel like I had a choice. Dr. Ron does really great work so this review is definitely not addressed to him. Dr. Ron took his time with me and addressed any concerns I had during my time with him. After my appointment I went up to pay for the work that was done. I asked to speak with the office manager to offer feed-back from my appointment. The receptionist told me that she was supposed to be back in the office at 1pm but she was not back yet (at this point it was 1:15pm). I left my cell phone number with her so that she could call me today when she had a chance. I called back tonight at 7:00pm to follow-up. She had answered the phone and put me on hold for 10 min. Finally when she took me off hold she answered and said that she couldn't talk about this now because the office was too busy. I told her that I'm not sure why I always receive such abuse there as a patient and I couldn't understand why I was constantly being spoken down to. I mentioned to her that I have been a patient here since I was a baby and I believe that now as an adult I am being severely mistreated and spoken down to like a child. She mentioned to me that I need to take 24 hours to calm down like a hockey Mom and then re-analyze the situation. I left the office today very shaky and anxious from this whole experience and have been bothered by this incident for the entire day. The staff all come across as "nice" however when push comes to shove they treat you poorly. I'm disgusted with how this office has been treating my sister and I for years now and I thought it would be worth mentioning how I was treated today. In conclusion, if you want an excellent hygienist that is super pleasant and nice you need to see Kim here. Cosmetic work is always reliable by Dr. Ron. However as a patient, I am finished with the mistreatment I have received from this office for years as this is definitely not the first time I have been treated like this.
