Always polite and on time good job team!

Overview of Dr. Anderson: - Disrespectful - Argumentative - Humiliating - Doesn't care about patient's needs or concerns Overview of the office: - Hours are extremely inconvenient I have a permanent top retainer. It broke while their office was closed over the winter break. I live in a different city. I came from Guelph to Stratford to get my top retainer fixed a few weeks later. It took a few weeks because 1. they were closed for an extended period of time, and 2. I live in Guelph and they're only open three days a week. I mentioned in passing that I clench my jaw when I get anxious, so suddenly it became that it's my fault my retainer broke. Dr. Anderson blamed me for my broken and bent retainer instead a poor job of gluing and inaccessible business hours. It went from being zero charge to $240, and Dr. Anderson didn't apologize at any point. Dr. Anderson told me multiple times that I shouldn't have a top retainer because I will "just keep breaking it." 1. She isn't a doctor and can't diagnose me with having a condition of consistently clenching my jaw to the point of breaking my retainer. I can tell you that my retainers don't break due to clenching. They break because of shoddy workmanship and poor gluing jobs by inexperienced people. 2. She tried to say it happens too often because I was in last September to fix my retainer, but that was my bottom one, and they added an extra glue point because they realized their work was poor and was making it easy to break. 3. I told her I need a permanent top retainer due to ADHD and forgetfulness that makes it difficult to wear a removable retainer, and she essentially called me irresponsible and continued to insist that I should be responsible enough to wear a removable top retainer. The entire conversation was humiliating and I felt like she was talking down to me and treating me like a silly child. This isn't the first bad experience I've had with this place. When I originally had my braces, they insisted on taking off my braces when my teeth were still visibly crooked, and I had to refuse to let them take them off until my teeth were fixed. I also got in an argument 4 years ago about a permanent top retainer, but Dr. Redigonda eventually agreed to let me have it. Now Dr. Anderson is going against Dr. Redigonda and blaming me for their poor work. This place treats people badly if they disagree with treatment plans. I recommend going literally anywhere else if you can go outside of Stratford. It's unfortunate that it is the only place in Stratford to receive orthodontic treatment.
