Archer Dental is the best dental team I've ever worked with. Online booking first attracted me, but warm and genuine care from staff has kept me coming back. They treat me like a person: * Staff in every role is friendly and personable, offering words of encouragement and camaraderie, which goes a long way to making an otherwise daunting visit something to look forward to. * Hygienists and dentists frequently check on comfort during procedures. * They understand the real-life challenges to perfect dental routines, and work with you to make incremental improvements from where you are now. * They understand the challenges of chronic stress and mood disorders, and frequently share tips to help maintain dental health when the "proper" methods aren't accessible. There is never pressure to accept treatment I'm not ready for: * Symptoms of tooth decay and gum disease are identified early, with an emphasis on prevention with behavioural interventions. Several areas flagged by a previous dentist (who wanted to fill them) have repaired naturally under the care of the Rosedale team, which I hadn't even known was possible before! * Staff patiently and thoroughly answer all of my questions, explaining the biology of what's happening and the risks of doing nothing, so I can make an informed decision about my care. * When my budget is tight, they help me understand which treatments can be safely deferred without compromising my overall health. * They have continued raising an issue is impacts health, but they always respected my final decision. I keep recommending Archer Dental to friends. With multiple locations in the city, I encourage anyone struggling with their dentist or dental care to reach out to the nearest one!

I love Archer Dental! First of all, the office itself is very modern, comfortable, and clean. Secondly, the staff are extremely friendly, accommodating, and professional! Finally, the entire experience at Archer Dental almost seems like it was meticulously planned to be as efficient and comfortable as possible. The automatic appointment email reminders, hot towels after a cleaning, large display screens while you're being seen: all this and more makes Archer Dental the best!

Amazing treatment and service at Archer Dental! Dr. Barlow is so sweet and as an extremely anxious patient, she always makes me feel comfortable during my appointments. I have finally found a dental office that I trust and will stay with. The rest of the staff, front office and dental hygienists. Also very transparent and honest with fees. Thank you!

I had a decidedly mixed experience at Archer Dental that made me leave for another dental office. I had a pain in one of my teeth which the doctor quickly identified as a crack. To resolve the pain, she said I would need either a crown or, if that didn't work, a root canal. Ontario dental fee guidelines recommend that a root canal cost between $892 and $1028 depending on the number of roots. Without any explanation, Archer Dental quoted $1240 for my root canal (I can post the estimate if they dispute this). I asked if they could show a little leniency due to my circumstances (I am not employed full time and don't have dental insurance), but they said they wouldn't do that. I went to another dentist for a second opinion. He said there was a good chance the pain could be resolved by simply filling the crack. I pursued that option, and it worked. As a result, I underwent a much less invasive procedure, and I saved about $1000. That dentist also repaired a cavity in another tooth that hadn't been identified earlier. This experience followed an earlier experience in which I tried to ask one of Archer's dental hygienists some basic questions about their fees, and she suddenly and without reason lost her patience with me. It was a strange experience and I always requested a different hygienist from that point forward. I did have positive experiences with hygienist Lena for cleanings and with the receptionist, so two stars for that. And the doctor herself seemed nice, although in the end I'm glad that I got a second opinion about how to fix my sore tooth.

I found Archer Dental through Open Care and all of the staff have been super friendly, accommodating patient and thorough since my very first visit. At previous dentist locations I felt like I was always being upsold, looking for a new reason to charge me for something, but the staff at Archer have been very transparent in what I do and don't need. Got my wisdom teeth removed and the staff were amazing at calming my anxiety. Didn't put me to sleep, instead gave me laughing gas. We're completely transparent that the needles would be the worst part and let me watch Friends on Netflix the entire time. The dentist even gave me his personal mobile number while going on vacation incase I had any concerns.
