If I could give 10 stars I would, my dental catastrophe was fixed thanks to Doctor Hompesch and his team at North Star!! I called several dental offices Monday morning for an emergency appointment because I was In an extreme amount of pain, and none were able to see me. My husband is military and I just moved up here so I wasn’t set up with a dentist yet. The tooth ache woke me up at 4am and I was unable to sleep or eat. The Places I called said the tooth would probably have to be pulled and I should try calling an oral surgeon. So I called North Star around 9 am and they were not only able to see me the same day but told me to come in within the hour! They had my insurance information verified by the time I got there and they told me everything I needed to do in order to get my tooth pulled that day under sedation. I’m 4 months pregnant and was a little nervous but Doctor H walked me through everything step by step. He called my OBGYN (the pregnancy doctor) and made sure everything he was doing and the medication that would be given was safe for the baby and I. He was absolutely amazing. When the pain meds he gave me didn’t work he wrote me a different prescription and made sure I had enough to get me through the weekend. He was ABSOLUTRLY AMAZING! I honestly wouldn’t go to any one else to pull your teeth! He is the best dentist I have ever seen. If he was a general dentist I would make him my family dentist! But unfortunately he only does surgery. If you need an oral surgeon or if your having pain go to North Star. Doctor Hompesch treats his patients like family. DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! Doctor hompesch will make sure all your questions are answered and that you’re not in any pain! His dental assistant is great too, the young lady at the front desk is super nice. The only thing is the finance lady alma is kind of rude, she was very short with my husband and I and didn’t really go into detail explaining the cost of everything and she took forever to come back. We could hear her laughing and joking with the front desk girl and couldn’t really figure out why no one was coming back with the treatment plan. Doctor H even came back and was like “did alma go over everything with you so we can get started†and we said no, so we had to wait an additional 20 mins after we had already been waiting for 15. So she could go over the treatment plan. The total was a little out of our budget so we removed a couple elective procedures, after removing those with the first treatment plan the price was supposed to go down substantially, but when she came back with the final paper to sign it jumped up a few hundred dollars, with no explanation as to why. I wanted to know how it changed so drastically, and was going to say we’ll go ahead and do the elective procedure but my husband was already signing the paper and leaving the room to go pay. He didn’t care for an explanation because he just wanted to get me out of pain and get the procedure done so he could return to work. That’s the only complaint I have about the entire process. Was the fact that Alma was very short, kind of rude, didn’t explain things very well or in detail and almost seemed to not really care. But The young lady at the front desk is great, very bubbly friendly and sweet, both dental assistants are great! The blonde one was super sweet and the brunette with glasses made sure I felt very calm and relaxed while we were waiting for the meds to kick in. Doctor hompesch explained the meds he was putting in my IV and what they were for, then I remember waking up on my couch at home! I felt no pain, no anxiety nothing! I am a little sore but feel so much better now that the infected teeth are gone!! Doctor H and his team are fantastic! I will be revommmending them to every one!
