Always pleasant, helpful staff. I have been a customer since the '90s, no complaints.

Owner Dots Sherwood is the best vet we've ever had. Knows everything about Guinea pigs, alpacas, livestock and dogs and cats. Terrific vet. Kindly approach to animals.

Absolutely ridiculous. I'm honestly shocked at all the good reviews about how 'friendly and helpful' the staff is. The vet barely spoke and prices are outrageous. They charged an 'exam' price when all the vet did was literally take my dog's temp and listen to her heart...THAT'S an exam??? If that's all she needed for an 'exam' I could've just done it at home, brought in the numbers, and saved myself the $70! Also, charged me extra because my pup didnt pee on demand for them. They dont offer any help with a payment plan and they dont give any ballpark prices beforehand so you have NO idea of the possible expense. Nope, I walked out of the exam room and had a $300 bill like 'Hey, surprise! You have to pay us right now!' So, for the majority of us who live paycheck to paycheck and aren't able to shell out $300 right then and there, we're either forced to decide what utility bill to unfortunately try to put off or, what I'm doing from now on, driving to Soldotna because they at least have empathy, give you a rough estimate, work with you on payments, AND the exam is extremely thorough for what they charge. I do have to say, the vet tech was super sweet and friendly but that's literally the only good thing I have to say about this place.
