Donald A. Thor, D.D.S.

I have been going to Dr Donald Thor for 22 yrs. He is the Very Best skilled, well mannered Dentist. He puts you at ease, if you are the nervous type when going to the dentist (like I was). The friendly staff are welcoming. I actually feel like I'm visiting family! I moved from North County, to South County, 4 yrs ago. The drive is well Dr. Thor's exceptional expertise. Highly recommend !

Dr. Thor is an perfectionist. After a long time of trying to relieve my face pain. I was told it was my bite. My bite had been ruined by my particles. Dr Thor corrected my situation, and gave me a pain free life, while even eating almonds. The particles he designed were perfect. One adjustment was all needed. I can eat raw food without pain. His staff are wonderful, Linda T(his wife) is so personable. Best Dentist I have ever had! Thank You God.

Wow. I wish I had known dentistry could be this painless! The last two experiences I had with a dentist were horrible, so five years went by until I couldn't stand the discomfort of eating even a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I needed three crowns. I knew that because the one crown and two veneers I had, had broken off a piece at a time until I had no choice but to "face the music" as it were...Aaarrgghh! BUT THEN...I was referred to Dr. Donald Thor, in Escondido, and this guy is a freaking miracle worker in a sea of uncaring and often unqualified dental sharks. Dr. Thor has this very impressive looking machine and computer set-up that allows him total control over designing and actually milling the new crown right there in the office while you're comfortably watching TV. What this means is, there is NO WAITING for the work to be sent out to a dental lab, wearing something temporary which tastes like plastic, and having to come back to have the procedure finished. This is STATE-OF-THE-ART, same day service! Being a perfectionist myself, it's easy to see that quality in another. Dr. Thor has it, and believe me, you WANT that in a dentist! Not only were do the new crowns look perfect, they FEEL PERFECT, and the whole procedure was absolutely PAINLESS! Oh yeah, he uses a very special camera, that takes pictures of all angles of the tooth, then shoots it to a computer which renders a 3-D image of what you have, then puts a "virtual" crown on it and allows Doctor T to "make" a perfect final image in 3-D by trimming and smoothing and virtually customizing your new crown so that it fits absolutely perfectly when comes out of the milling machine. VERY cool. If there was a dentist on-board the Starship Enterprise, they would have had one of these, and if Dr. Thor was there, Spock would have gotten up from the chair, and in his most Vulcan manner, would have said - "Interesting. The procedure was virtually painless." So seriously, if you've been afraid or uneasy about going to the dentist (been there, done that), it's a whole new deal at Dr. Thor's. The staff is great (they treat you like family) the office is comfortable and immaculate, and best of all, the skillful and compassionate work of Dr. Thor is the best I have ever experienced, and I'm in my fifties. RECOMMENDED 200%! Thanks, Doc!
