I'm in my sixties so you can imagine how many different dentists I've seen over the years. I can say without reservation that Dr. Horasanian is the best dentist I've been to. He has been my dentist for the past four years. I've had a lot of work that needed correcting from previous dentists and some new issues that I developed since moving up this way. He has addressed all of these dental issues professionally and the work that he does is both aesthetically and functionally excellent. Highly recommended.

Just be careful before agreeing to any procedures. As another reviewer pointed out, Dr. Horasanian will try to pressure sale you into extra dental work. On top of that, he said I needed over a dozen procedures, which I couldn't do because I couldn't afford it. When I switched dentists, it turns out I didn't need those procedures. They were exaggerated or even made up. Be careful!

Dr Mike does great work, has a fantastic sense of humor and is very patient with his clients. We have been using him for 9 years.

I had a bad Visalign experience from another dentist in Southern California and Dr. Mike completely corrected it! Staff was awesome, patient and I love the way my teeth are now. Would recommend - awesome experience :D

It's been many years since I was a patient of Dr. Horasanian. He was nice, Staff was nice but my experience as I remember it was not great. In all my 39 years of having teeth I've only had 2 tiny cavities. Both filled by Dr. Horasanian. History: 5 years no dental cleanings, at 19 saw military dentist & had a very healthy mouth. No cavities! total shock! At 26 saw Dr. Horasanian. Again, healthy mouth, good job brushing, but 2 cavities. Bottom first molar on both sides, front of tooth & exact same spot on each tooth. Not shocked, after all it had been a few years since my last visit! Scheduled first side. He numbs my entire rt side for this 1 little front surface cavity. Comes in and says laughingly, "Since I've got you all numbed up, why don't I go ahead and pull that bottom wisdom tooth?" I declined since I had to work the next day and I was totally mentally unprepared for having a tooth pulled! Having my first filling was stressful enough, but a tooth pulled? That's an entirely different mental prepping. Second side appt he did the same exact thing! First time I laughed it off, but a second time trying to get my bottom wisdom tooth out? What I found strange is the drill ran less than a minute. It took longer to fill it than it did to drill it. My mouth was numb for over 3 hours both times, same as when I had my wisdom teeth removed a year later. I decided to change dentists at that point. Note: I had my partially impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed a year later. The one Dr. Horasanian was wanting to pull was straddling a vein in my lower jaw. When the ortho surgeon pulled the tooth it cut that vein. He was able to pinch the vein shut, but risked damaging the nerve to stop me from bleeding out! I was just fine, but what would have happened had I been awake & had Dr. Horasanian pulled it the year before? That would have been really scary! Grateful I wasn't awake for that! The ortho surgeon said that partially bony impacted wisdom teeth are not something he recommends as an in office dental procedure. They typically aren't prepared nor equipped to handle them properly. The dentist that referred me out for the procedure agreed. Perhaps Horasanian is better equipped to handle such procedures in his dental office? I went another long 4 year stretch after switching insurances and moving. Dentist said, healthy mouth & no cavities. I thought FOR SURE after 2 pregnancies, slacking on brushing and midnight snacks due to nursing hunger and going back to bed without brushing I'd have at least 2, but none?! I've not had another cavity since. So I'm now wondering, are these 2 ugly silver specks on the fronts of my first bottom molars there because a Dr needed more insurance money, or did I truly have cavities there that he just over numbed me for in the hopes of more insurance money? Were they really so bad that I needed my entire my jaw numb on that side? I guess I will never know. I decided to post this because I want to be sure 1, he is aware & 2 that others are also aware. Back when I saw him there was no "Google Reviews" to evaluate. If there is anyone else with a story like mine, I want them to know. I'm very curious if anyone else has experienced this same scenario. My dental history has been my greatest reason for questioning these 2 ugly silver fillings Horasanian gave me. While tiny specks, they are still ugly in a mouth full of filling free, cavity free teeth! How is that possible? My current dentist of 6 years is now wondering the same as me! Always the same, healthy mouth & no cavities. How wonderful it could be though to say I've not had any. I'm left questioning if that's what I'd be saying today if I'd never gone to see my parents dentist in Oakhurst.
