Cortez Dental Care

Dr. Joseph D. Vreeken is a gentleman with great skill. His staffs and assistants are all beautiful and helpful. It only took him 40 minutes to set up a crown for me. It was a no pain, no drug and comfortable experience.

Wonderful staff. I had an urgent need & they got me right in , took care of the problem & I was done quickly. Thanks so much!

Professional and passionate office team.

In the previous months before visiting Cortez Dental Care I had gone to two different dentist's offices looking for evaluations on some cosmetic work on my 62 year old teeth. Neither previous office gave me a lot of hope, suggesting prices anywhere from $3,200.00 and up – way up. At the second one, I had x-rays, my teeth cleaned, and an evaluation by a cosmetic dentist in the next big town 47 miles east of Cortez. They suggested braces to start, and then begin the cosmetic process, but first I was told I would need two crowns and a filling – over $2,800.00. I decided that even though I would probably pay for another initial visit, a third opinion was a good option. I made an appointment with Dr Vreeken at Cortez Dental Care. He requested to take another set of x-rays and evaluated my teeth, with the cosmetic work in mind. He complimented me on my 62 year old teeth, and my dental care routine; and then suggested that I did not need two crowns and a filling, but only one filling, some resin composite on a molar, and he could repair my 2 front top teeth (which were chipped) with some resin composite. I said OK, and scheduled a second appointment. The whole process took about 1.5 hours. The large cavity in the back was basically painless, the repaired rear molar was filled with no discomfort whatsoever, and the two front teeth looked better that they had in over 50 years (since I fell off a wagon on to a sidewalk, face-first). All this at a small fraction of the price suggested by the previous two dental offices. I was elated. Dr. Vreeken is a real professional, compassionate, and so very reasonable. The office help, Sydney and Jasmine, always had a smile, and proved to be as professional as Dr. V. The whole process proved to be a great experience. I can not say enough good things about this office. If you're a local give them a try. If you're just passing through, or a temporary local like me, give them a try as well.

Got us in quickly and able to treat my husband on our family road trip. Very kind, gentle and courteous. Thank you!
