Very upset with Mrs Adams. My son had cavities that we were holding off getting fixed till he was a little older and now at 4 we decided it was time. I seemed to irritate Mrs Adams by wanting to know exactly how much laughing gas and other mixes were going to be given to my child during the procedure. She said she could not tell me till after . My child has never been sent to a sitter so he is not accustomed to being without someone familiar. I specifically asked her if he started getting uncomfortable since I was not allowed in the back with him to quite and I would bring him back to finish the rest of the cavities. Having my child have a positive experience to set the stage for the rest of his dental visits was very important. She comes out to the waiting room said he did fine and she fixed all the cavities and explained very quick all amounts of laughing gas used on him and walks away. Keep in mind this is explained to me infront of everyother parent. They bring him out hes really upset crying and hugging me. It was explained that he was not given a toy because he cried the whole time. I told the staff that he was crying because he was scared. She did not listen to my instructions requesting her not to push him if he was uncomfortable. I did not want him forced. He was merely just a quota for an insurance billing. very unhappy with her

Sad to hear others had a bad experience here, because my kids love it... ok, maybe not love- but dont mind going. My oldest has been going going since 2 and hes 8 now and my 6 year old since his first tooth. Staff has always been super nice to me and my keiki- as far as i know, because yes, you cant go back after 3, but thats better for us because they would totally feed off my nervousness- though my kids would have told me if they wernt. I think as a pediatric dentist you need to have a bit of stern-ness. Anywhoo our experience has been great and i recommend them to everyone ❤

Horrible doctor. Poor customer service. Absolutely not for a kids!!! Doesn't know how to talk and make kids feel comfortable... read the reviews in the past and didn't know how bad it is, until I went there with my son... don't think twice and please don't let your kids to be afraid from a dentist, just because some people are so miserable with what they are doing... scary, but true.

Parents, I speak out now because this issue has reared it's ugly head 3 years later. At the time I was so devastated & upset it was hard to speak out & approach Dr. Adams. We all have different experiences in life but after the experience my Son had I would NOT recommend sending your Child here. This is the biggest regret of my life, especially as you can not go through to the dentist chair & be with them during procedures. My son who was 6 then is now 9 is still so traumatized from his treatment towards him that it has gone on to affect his current dental experiences, I am deeply sad because as a Parent we want to know that we can trust our Pedodontist & our Children can trust us with who we put them with. He is now receiving post-trauma counseling for what happened so that we can heal his dentistry past & move forward to continue his dental treatment. It's terrifying that I continue to read or hear bad reviews & stories. I couldn't post this without giving the minimum of one Star, which is one star too many.

Today I took my daughter for her first dentist appt. She's a very bright almost 2 year old. We had been talking about her dentist visit for 2 weeks. When we got there she was ready to comply and excited to learn about her teeth. We requested no fluoride treatment for our own health concerns. Out of our control was the artificially flavored and colored fluoride toothpaste; that was almost bearable. The office and assisting staff were nice, but Dr. Adams left us with an emotional scar and nothing more. She rushed through my baby's appt., allowed NO time for the necessary establishment of relationship between provider and patient. She came in and dully demonstrated teeth brushing on a toy dinosaur. Then, as I laid my daughter head on her lap, she quickly and roughly forced her way into her mouth until my baby was crying fiercely. Dr. Adams reassured me that "this is normal" but I know that my daughter would have been happily cooperative given the chance. Dr. Adams assumed she would tantrum so devoted no time to making the experience pleasant. Luckily that horror only lasted for a minute or two while she brushed her teeth (and almost put on fluoride regardless of my request- thankfully I was there and attentive enough to stop her). Dr. Adams proceeded to walk out of the room (to return to her other patient she apparently double booked with mine) without giving me any information about my daughters teeth or how I, as a first time parent, can best care for them. I left her office utterly disappointed and still can't get the image of holding my poor baby's hands down for some stranger to brush her teeth, no differently than I do every night. Maybe for older children this dentist is okay but taking my toddler there was a total and complete waste of my time and an extremely unnecessary trauma. I can't even believe she will be getting paid for that visit- she benefited our family in NO way what-so-ever :( One thing I learned: what is "GREAT" for some people may be HORRIBLE for others.
