Do not have your teeth removed by Dr. Johnson. My teenage daughter had all four wisdom teeth removed by him after Christmas. He was not very friendly to her before he began the procedure and did not come out to talk to my husband and me when he was done. (The nurse, Kate (?) was wonderful after the surgery when we came in to see our daughter and get care information, which was minimal.) Four days later, she started experiencing throbbing pain and came home from school on January 2 in intense pain. Because it was the day after New Year's, Johnson's office was closed but the message said to call Dr. Johnson in an emergency. I called him about 4:30, apologized, and asked if he had a couple minutes. He responded, "No, but what's going on." I told him and he agreed that it sounded like a dry socket. He told me to call his office in the morning and make an appointment to come in. That was it. I called Dr. Joe Stamets, from Associated Dentists, who spoke with me on the phone at length to get information about what she was experiencing, asked us to meet him at Associated Dentists' office (which was also closed for the holiday) and packed the dry socket for her, providing complete relief for my daughter. We will not go back to Dr. Johnson and urge you to seek another oral surgeon. Also, ask what kind of after-hours service they provide.
