I almost cried after my haircut. I asked for a simple, single length haircut up to my shoulders. My hairdresser May confirmed this twice, then proceeded to cut my hair to two lengths--shoulder length on the outside, then half that length underneath. I was mortified, and when I told her that I had only wanted single length, she essentially said that it was entirely my fault and blamed me for her misunderstanding which she attributed to the breakdown of communications. I asked her how she expected me to tie up my hair in a ponytail, which I have to do in my everyday job. She said, just don't tie it up then! She then proceeded to make me pay for the full price of the cut that she screwed up. She has never been one to bother making any conversation or attempting to properly communicate with you if you don't come from the mainland, which was fine as I mainly went there to get my hair cut, but this was a real low, even for her. I am not joking when I say that for every single day for one entire year, I was woke up, looked in the mirror and wanted to rip my hair out. All my friends laughed at me. I do not think that any hairdresser in their right mind would cut hair this way, even if there was miscommunication. I would say that you get what you paid for, but I I think that not even if someone had paid me for this humiliating hairstyle would I have gotten it.
