First off, I have been going to Willamette Dental Tualatin office for years and have had good and bad care. Second, I didn't have good dental care as a child so I have had may dental problems. Third, I have seen Dr. Martin for several years and he has done some great restoration on my a few teeth, but I have always found him to be arrogant and full of himself. He always went on how is he best at what he does.
The LAST straw for me was when I went in for incredible tooth pain and he poked around, scolded me, like a child, that I shouldn't make my issue sound like an emergency. He then told me I needed a root canal. I insisted it must be infected... apparently he didn't believe me and sent me out to the front desk to make an appointment for the root canal... I had already paid my co-pay and walked straight out the door.... I called the office later that afternoon and requested that Dr. Martin authorize anti-biotics. I finally got the meds and hadn't had a problem since.
Recently I made an appointment for a checkup and just cancelled it.... my dental plan includes Gentle Dental and will move over to them. Many employees I work with have been so much more happier with the dentists and the costs.... hopefully, it will be a win for me and family.
