The reason I gave one star is because that was the way into the comments. I am usually a tolerant, kind person however, Mindy doesn't deserve even 1 star for this haircut. Yes, I was a few minutes late, however, she was chatting on the phone & ultimately kept me waiting. The consult promised, was rushed through. She didn't absorb any specifics we discussed about what I wabted or how my hair behaved. When I put my hands into my hair to see how it behaved during the first part of the cut, I was told not to touch my hair. Mindy went on to say that I was late, even though she was on the phone. Therefore, we had 20 minutes left before her next client arrived, so we'd better hurry.. I was treated like money in her pocket rather than a valued new client. I wasn't even thanked for my business. But she did do a lot of bragging about where she used to work & who she studied with. I was there for patience & expertise, not her resume. I got neither. My hair is choppy, unruly & the front, sides, & back look like 3 separate cuts. It's growing in unevenly. I have the type of hair that stays in place without blow drying. But this haircut makes it stick out everywhere in an unflattering way. She should've known that my type of hair wouldn't take to this kind of cut. I think she was just throwing the latest style into my hair without thought or care. I have given myself better haircuts & I'm not a hair stylist. I even had to request a mirror to see the back. I want a refund. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!

Great haircut and color! Mindy really understands the nuance of curly hair and has been cutting mine for a few years. She is very honest about what will look good or not and meticulously looks at each piece until she gets it right. Even though I've moved away, I still drive 40+ min for a cut with her, and it's completely worth it.

Mindy the, owner, is lovely, knowledgeable and absolutely a great sense of style. I highly recommend her especially if you have curly hair.
