I had to write a review for Dr. Field because she did such an amazing job with my daughter. She had a dental emergency on a Sunday, and my dentist didn't have hours. My friend then recommended Dr. Field because she had seen her on a weekend too. When I called, she told me to come in and I met her at her office on a Sunday! She calmed me and my daughter down and did a great job. She told me not to worry about the insurance, and that it would be taken care of the next day which it was. So easy! When we went in for the followup appointment, she remembered that my daughter liked Dora the Explorer, and she even had a Dora doll waiting for her! Well, she loved that. Now, my daughter loves going to the dentist. My son just turned one, and I can't wait to take him there. I wish I had taken my daughter there from the beginning. If you are looking for a dentist that works great with children, and doesn't talk down to you, this is the place to go.

Dangerous at worst. First, she's slipshod, or her staff is. I know my children are not as careful about brushing as they should be, yet never has anyone said anything about better habits to either of them. It's all about processing them from the waiting room out the door. Second, she shouldn't be working with children. The first time I took my daughter, when she was 2, I told her that the dentist would explain everything before she did anything. So of course the assistant sticks a very loud suction handheld in her mouth without warning or explanation, and created a child who is now afraid of dentists--and her grandfather is one! She's been impatient and huffy with her nerves ever since then, too. Third, she's not only sloppy, she's lazy to the point of endangering her patients. Dr. Fields told me that a hole in my daughter's molar I could probe with a pick was a "stain." Then, when it was time to have the "stain" filled 6 months later, we were told that it was "policy" to put children under a certain age under general anethetic! Are you kidding me? Subject a child to unnecessary sedation for a routine procedure because you're too sorry to learn how to work with children, before you even know whether the child is a management problem? And this is supposedly a pediatric practice! Needless to say I refused to authorize it, and my daughter was perfectly fine throughout the filling procedure. We are in the process of finding another dentist, and I have not left my children alone in the operatory with this charlatan since.
