Great experience! The salon is very clean and the employees are all very nice. My hairdresser was new at that location, but since they use Aveda training, I knew I could trust her. She was friendly, talkative and not in an awkward way, and made great suggestions for a simple hair cut. I hope to go back again soon.

Everyone here is professional and courteous..it is a true place of relaxation and awesome hair styling..it is a great way to escape from the daily grind and unwind! It is also just a couple minutes from work. Makes it very convenient for me.

Love this Salon!! Courtney highlighted my hair today and did an AMAZING job! I have long, brown hair that she added carmel highlights to. It is so shiny and best of all it BLENDS in so finely that you do not see where they start or stop! I highly recommend her.

I've been going to Spruce Salon for almost a year and will never return. I came in for full highlights and a blowout and left the salon in tears. My colorist rushed through the foils and then passed me on to his assistant, who washed my hair, put on the toner, and did the blowdry and style. I bit my tongue and did not say anything because I thought maybe she knew what she was doing. She proceeded to spray water all over my back, which left me with a soaked sweater and did not properly put on the toner. When I told her I wanted lots of volume and wave, she said, "sure" and gave me stiff, straight, partially-dry hair. My colorist was busy talking with another client and only came up to me as I was paying the bill. I paid over $200 for a senior stylist and I got junior stylist results. What's worse, I had several holiday events to attend and had to make an appointment with another salon to fix my hair. I will never go back to Spruce salon and am incredibly angry and disappointed that they treated me with such disrespect and ruined my hair.

I saw that this salon was giving free blowouts a few months ago so I went in and had one done and it was awesome! I LOVED the way my stylist did my hair. Fast forward to now. I had a friend in town who was staying with me and having some photos taken and wanted to get a blow out before her pictures. I recommended Spruce and told her I liked mine so much last time I would just get one for the heck of it and we could make a night of it and go Downton and get a nice dinner afterwards since we will have good hair. We got there and the stylist I had this time (was not the same as the original one) asked me what I was looking for. I told her I wanted some loose/ “beachy” waves and that I liked to have the ends straightened out. It was then that she told me if I wanted her to use any heating tools on my hair it would be an additional fee...other than the free blowout I got at this salon the first time I haven’t ever gotten just a “blowout” before, so although I found that really strange, I thought that may be “the norm”. Since I was just joining my friend and didn’t really have anywhere to be and was already spending $40 on someone to just blow dry my hair, I didn’t want to spend more money on getting her to curl my hair so told her okay I guess I would just style my hair myself when I got home. She blew dry my hair and tossed it around a little and that was it and she left. I wasn’t impressed with how my hair looked (to say the least) but if that’s was included in their normal blowout process I wasn’t going to say anything. I stayed in my chair and waited for my friend to be done. After about 20 minutes of sitting there (we had booked the same type of appointment at the same exact time and mine was already “done” (she did add on a bang trim so that added on a few extra minutes to her time but definitely not that long)), kind of confused by how my hair looked, asked “are you done?” I said “I guess so...”. Meanwhile, the stylist my friend had started to curl her hair so I curiously asked her “how much extra is it to have your hair curled?” She seemed confused by my question so I proceeded to tell her that my stylist had told me it was extra if I wanted my hair styled with a heating tool. She told me it should be included and acted kind of confused by why my stylist would have told me that. She finished styling my friends hair (which looked BEAUTIFUL by the way) and we went to pay. It was at this time that I should have spoken to the person checking me out and told her my concerns but I knew my friend needed to get going to her shoot so I didn’t. Once we got in the car we FaceTimed our other friend and were telling her what happened and all 3 of us were laughing at how bad my hair looked( while also annoyed that I had actually paid for it to look like that) and they both confirmed that it is definitely not the norm for your hair not to be styled when getting a blowout. I am giving them 3 stars because the first blowout I had was great, as was my friends but don't know that I would go back there. If styling isn't included in a blowout, I can easily find 100 other salons in the area where it is for the same price. And if it is, I don't know why my stylist lied to me?
