Ms. Candy did a lovely precision angled Bob on me and followed my wishes for my cut!!! She used a great product to blow out and straight iron my hair too. It was Very silky afterwards 🥰 She was quick, professional and friendly. This was my first time at Birds and I look forward to being a regular 🫶

I had very long curly hair that was mostly dead and in a bun most of the time, so I got a major haircut up above my shoulders for the first time. I booked Selena, and she was great. I showed her a reference photo and she managed to match it perfectly. She was patient with communication since I am hard of hearing as well. There were not many people present in the store but everyone had a very welcoming attitude and complimented the results. I was worried about what the results would be coming in, but she made me look great! Would definitely come back in the future.

Haircuts are fine but trying to book an appointment is worse than cancer. Why do I need an account? Why do I keep getting locked out of it? Why does the app tell me I appear to be a robot and must wait an hour. It’s hair, I just want it cut, why does this have to be so difficult?

I've been going here at various locations in Austin for years now, and the last couple of times, the stylists have given me cuts that are pretty different from what I ask for. Came back because it's been consistently great. I thought maybe bad luck. This last time, the stylist couldn't figure out how to do a simple fade and kept cutting it shorter until there was nothing left to work with. It looked totally different from the picture I showed her. After the last snip, she immediately took my cover off with hair still on my forehead and neck and just said, "Have a good day," entirely skipping the any blowing and neck shaving on the shortcut. Meanwhile, a group of SXSW people were given free beers, loudly drinking for half an hour without actually getting a haircut before leaving. Nothing was done about that. Absolute drop in standards, and what I experienced was not worth the price at all. 2 stars because it used to be good.
