Bought a Groupon for a cut and color (my first haircut in Dallas) and have nothing but great things to say about the staff at The Color Studio & Salon. From the moment I called to make my appointment with a very friendly and helpful receptionist to my NEW amazing hairstylist, I have zero complaints. Bummed to see the poor reviews. My personal experience was wonderful and Wesley gave me exactly what I asked for...and my conversations with him were just a plus! Can’t wait to come back for my next appointment! Thank you!

First and last service at this salon. I left a tip because I felt sorry for the guy doing my hair. The treatment of the receptionist was passable at best. My issue was with the stylists around the station my hair was done. Extremely racist and prejudiced people. Although I’m sure in their own mind they were as kind as could be expected since they were tolerating our presence. My son was strapped in his stroller and watching his shows on my phone. I was badgered and harassed to quiet him repeatedly (despite the salon’s own loud music, hair dryers, gossiping and chatter around us). And it didn’t stop there, the comments, snickering and mean looks in his direction (“ignore that”) gave me so much anxiety I had to leave while my hair was wet. It felt almost dangerous to stay. I will never go back into such a toxic environment ever again. I consider the bill I paid as charity to this business. Good riddance.

Jeff Comess took great care of me! He spent a lot of time on color consult and made sure I was happy with both the color and cut before I walked out the door.

I have used this salon for years and have always had excellent customer service, marvelous shampoo experience and always leave with a smile on my face thanks to my hairdresser!

I bought a groupon in February and set my appointment with one stylist but when I was called with my reminder they said I would be with Chris. I was looking forward to this cut since I was going from long hair to short. I even brought pictures and Chris seemed confident he could achieve the look for me. Chris started snipping away at my long wavy/curly locks, mainly using the razor- I cannot actually recall him using scissors. I also found it odd that he told me that if I needed to come back for any inconsistencies that it would not be a problem for me to have him fix it. Long story short---It was a Giant HOT MESS, of which I didn't notice until I got home and straightened it out. Two months later, im still trying to fix the mess that he left me with. I went to two other stylists after the job he did on me and they both felt so bad for me and said Chris didn't know how to cut hair. I'm very disatified with this stylist and the salon over all since when I tried to get in to get it fixed was told that Id have to see Chris and he was not available until 2 weeks later. If I could give Zero stars I would.
