I've been going to this place for over 2 years mostly for coloring and it's has been great. I get a cut occasionally. Last month was my 3rd hair cut. I wanted a few inches off and a little layering at the end. I didn't think too much of it afterwards until yesterday. I have a busy schedule. I shampoo/rinse every morning after workout and let it air dry. Then go about my day. I took a good look of the back in the mirror. OMG! The so called layering looks like someone took a dull scissors and yanked a chunk of hair off. I couldn't believe I walked around everywhere with this hair for a month!!! I don't have the right words to describe how I feel as I write this review. Update:. Today 4/14, one week after I discovered the horror (about 5 weeks after the botched job) to try to have it fixed with another stylist. I had a picture taken when I checked in to make sure I have evidence. Sadly, despite her best effort, my hair still looks awful. Looks like there is going to be 6 months of bad hair day ahead of me. My hair cut is quite standard, nothing complicated. The fact I used the same person twice doesn't mean the first time was good. It could very well be that I neglected to notice any problems it may have occurred the first time. This is supposed to be a upscale salon. What are the hiring standards? I could have gone to Super Cut and come out better than this. Two visits, over $100 spent plus time, I'm stuck with putting up pony tail for the next 6 months.

Nice salon. Great products. Very pricey but worth it.

Erin is awesome! Both of my daughters have very curly hair and usually we have a hard time finding a stylist who can cut and style their hair properly, but Erin she rocks! Although my kids are not too young (9 & 10) most hair stylist will talk to me and ask me questions rather than engaging them. I REALLY appreciated how Erin asked them what they like and how they want to style their hair and what type of things they were in to. She really got a good feel for their personality before giving them a great cut they were both happy with. We will be back!

Jessica is a wonderful Master Colorist! She listens to your vision and explains how this may be achieved. She then guides you on how to keep your hair healthy and looking its best with your process. And she'll even coordinate a yummy lunch during your processing!! Great team at Avalon!!!

I wanted to change ny hairstyle after a long time, so I was very nervous. Erin did a great job, and I love my haircut. Happy with the result!!!
