I recently decided to get a haircut at Studio 209, and was lucky to get an appointment with Ashly. She cut my hair and told me more about the services that they offer. She really took her time with me, especially because I have very thick hair that can be intimidating to any stylist. I went back for the Brazilian Blowout with Ashly again and she did an amazing job! My hair is so smooth and healthy now. I love how straight my hair is. If you're looking for a great hair experience go see Ashly she is awesome. She will take her time and her customer service is excellent.

I am soooo sorry I went to this place... I went there the day before my wedding based off Facebook reviews- worst idea ever! I went there for something simple, I just needed them to do my roots and match the color I already had on my hair. I got there at 10 AM (10:15 AM, I actually got there a bit late due to car trouble) and left until 5:20 PM. Now, I've been going to salons since I was 16 to get my hair bleached and I know it takes a long time for my dark, thick hair to lighten, but my hair was extremely light when I got there in the first place. I swear, this was the very first time in 10 years of bleaching that my scalp burned from all the bleach repetitions made. By the time she was done, around 3 PM, I wasn't even complaining or anything as long as the final product was good. Hairdresser goes off to another client and someone else starts to blow dry my hair when she suddenly stops to tell me my roots look bad. I look in the mirror and oh God! Dark gray roots and yellowish hair- I was shocked! My hair was a beige, ashy blonde when I got there. They took me back to the bowl, wet half of my hair and just let me there to wait for my hair dresser to get back. I waited for an hour or so and nothing. Went to the front desk and complained, I had a lot of things to do, I mean come on I had been vocal about my wedding happening the very next day. The lady at the front desk was super nice and offered 10% plus not charging a $65 hair treatment? But I was asking for no discount, I wanted my hair fixed! It was a nightmare... I would've been happy paying whatever I had to pay as long as I got what I asked for. All I wanted to do is burst into tears, I couldn't get married with my hair looking like that. Finally, the owner of the salon, gave me a call to apologize which I truly appreciated, but nonetheless, I was still under a lot of stress. They have very good customer service, I will not deny that, but that doesn't do away with the fact that they burned my scalp, fried my hair and left bald spots on my head, yes, BALD SPOTS!! And to top it off, the gray was not completely gone. I went to the front desk with tears and told the front desk lady what was happening. She was kind and understanding and told me she would contact the owner immediately. They ended up not charging me and provided me with a repair kit :( but my hair was no good... Bottomline is, if all you go to a hairsalon for is customer service, this is your place. If you actually care about your hair, then avoid this place at all cost. The ladies are nice and all, but I don't go to a hairsalon to have a nice chat or make friends, I go there to get my hair done and that's all I care about. So much for it being one of the "best" salons in El Paso.
