Today was my first experience at The Colour Bar. The salon was recommended to me by a co-worker after she had a great experience. Naturally I checked Yelp and Google reviews to get insight to the feedback of other guests. Based on the review information and the content of their website I decided to make an appointment. Upon arrival, there is plenty of free parking at the salon. I was welcomed by Karly, who was very interested in what I was looking for in terms of color. I explained that I was a looking for a seasonal change of my current color, but wanted no drastic change. Karly, who was very personable, took a lot of time to learn what I wanted in a style, length, etc. She assessed the products I was currently using and determined they may be too heavy for my fine hair. The service she delivered was fabulous, as she continually checked on me as my color was processing, even though she was clearly busy with other guests. Karly educated me about each product she used on my hair, and why she selected them. Overall, I can't think of a single thing that I desired as a customer that was not delivered at The Colour Bar. I've booked myself for appointments for the balance of the year!

Went for my first appointment yesterday, and will not be going back. Stylist sat me down to ask what I wanted and then said she was going to have another stylist wash my hair because she had another client (in the chair next to me) at the same time. The stylist she asked to wash my hair was trying to help one customer check out while seating another to get washed, so eventually my stylist found a third person to wash my hair. After washing, stylist #2 said she would "get me ready" since my stylist was still coloring her other client's hair (basically put the apron on me). When my stylist had a break (while client #2's color was setting) she made a few cuts, blow-dried and made a few more cuts. The whole cut & dry took less than 15 minutes (never had a haircut/blow dry/style take less than an hour) and she didn't even style it because she needed to get back to the other client. Basically, my hair looks the same except with a few less split ends, and it definitely was not the relaxing experience it should have been. To make matters worse, the owner was two chairs over taking care of another client and didn't appear to notice or care that two clients had been booked at the same time with the same stylist.

I highly recommend Karly. Both my wife and I go to see her. Definitely the best and most knowledgeable stylist I have ever been to!

I haven't been in awhile but it is the only salon that I go to and trust. I will drive an hour just to see Elizabeth and Cynthia for all of my cut and color needs. The service is amazing and they don't treat me as just a client when I walk in. I look forward to seeing them soon for my next "project" with my hair!

Went for the first time last month. Showed Becca what I wanted and she makes it known what is and isnt possible. She doesnt give her client a false sense of hope. My hair come out great and I love it.
