Janie is amazing and has been cutting my family's hair for years. Great experience with her.

3 strikes and you're out. The first time I stopped in here to get my son's hair cut about 45 mins till closing with 3 stylists sitting around talking. They told me they were closing in just a few minutes and didn't have time to cut his hair. Left and went somewhere else. The next time I came in with my son and daughter to get his hair cut and hers just the ends trimmed. My son's hair was very patchy and uneven. After about a year I just stopped in today to find only one person working and one customer at the end of the style portion of his cut. We waited about 10 mins and another person came in. Ignored us and went ahead and took that customer I assumed he had an appointment. We waited yet again to have his hair cut and she took someone else that walked in another 15 minutes later. Saying "he's next". After waiting for over 35 minutes to only be ignored a second time with no one else in the store this will be my final visit. I only came here due to how close it is to my house. I'll gladly go a few intersections up to the another place that's half the price and has always done a good job despite the additional rush hour traffic. As a busy mother me trying to save time only cost me even more.

I have a been a consistent repeat customer at this establishment for about 8 months. Lydia and Maria are excellent. However, today, I had a most unpleasant experience that will cause me to take my business elsewhere. I arrived at 3pm, with 1 other person waiting. I was greeted by the "master" stylist who asked if I had an appointment. I replied that I didnt. She asked if I wanted to wait a few minutes for the other lady (asian lady, didnt get her name). I said sure, how long of a wait? The Asian lady said 20 mins. It was now 3:10. She said come back at 4:00! I said that's 50 mins? She said, oh, come back at 3:45, and wrote it in the appt book. I said I will do some shopping and will be back at 3:45. I return at 3:44, to find the Asian lady now had a new customer in her chair, and says " you no come back at 3:30", and smiles sheepishly. I replied, "you specifically said 3:45, and wrote it in the book". Her response was, "you want to wait?" No apology, no ammends, just, "you want to wait?" and yet another smile! What happened to customer service? What happened to keeping your word/appointment? I was so angry, confused, and bewildered, that I left before i would say something i would regret. This is NOT how you run a service oriented business. I have been in the service industry for 25+ years. I am a good customer, and tip 40-50% on a good haircut. I hope however is in charge reads this and realizes what is going on. I will NOT return!

I tried to get my family’s hair cut here... I really did. I walked in in the middle of the afternoon in the middle of the week. I asked for a simple trim for my two daughters. The lady said they could only do one. Um... ok. So you can’t cut both of my daughters hair? The simple and unapologetic response was no. We have other appointments. Oh. Ok. So we left. We went somewhere else and since it was 2 in the afternoon we had no problem getting their trims done quickly and without much effort. I had to check as we were leaving to see if we indeed went to TGF as the lady seemed confused and I thought maybe we were in the wrong place.
