I have been going here since they first opened years ago. Yes, there can be snobby stylists. Yes, a stylist once made a big mistake on me. But I keep coming back because the place is phenomenal. It is ultra classy with great service. They always offer a free drink when you come in. I always choose a Coke, but I think they even have wine. I don't stick with one stylist- I jump around every time, and all have been great. The hair-washing sinks are super comfortable for your neck. No other place like this. The prices are as expected and they don't push you to buy a bunch of products. It's always a great time with a bunch of talented, chatty stylists who make you feel like part of a clique. I highly recommend this salon.

I am fairly new to the area. I wanted to find a place that I could use regularly. I called first thing in the morning and made an appointment for 4:30pm that afternoon. When I arrived, I was pleased to see a nice, cozy space and felt I made a good choice. However, after checking in with the front desk about 10 - 15 minutes before my scheduled time, I sat and waited until well after 5pm. I think it was around 5:10pm or 5:15pm that I just walked out from sheer frustration. The young lady at the front desk (Tori ?)came outside to apologize to me profusely. She did check on me a couple of times to let me know the person was running a few minutes behind. Anything beyond 5-10 minutes is more than a "few minutes". My advice would have been: if you know the stylist is running more than 5 minutes behind, be very honest with the customer and tell them that the stylist is running about 30 minutes or more behind. The customer deserves to know this information in order to make any adjustments to their own personal schedule or to be offered the option to reschedule. I run a business and so I understand that things come up that are out our control. The only thing I can think of are 1 of 3 things happened: they double booked accidentally or intentionally; they took a walk-in they thought could be squeezed in before me; or a previous customer was running late and it impacted other appointments. If I had received a courtesy text letting me know about the timing issue, I would have really appreciated it so that I could have made arrangements to either come later or to reschedule. I have made an appointment with another salon. I wanted to like this place. I gave 2 stars because the environment is lovely and the young lady at the front desk was courteous and professional.

I have to wait several weeks for the stylist that my son sees to be able to fit him in, which is fine, I know that she's busy. But several times now she has cancelled on me the day of. The last time I was there they called me about an hour before my appointment and asked if they could reschedule it and I told them that the other date they had available didn't work for me so I was told to just come in during my scheduled appointment. She complained the whole time about how she was going to be late to the movies with her boyfriend. Today they canceled on me 3 hours before my son's appointment. Won't be back.

I love gloss and I love Lauren the owner. I have been going to her for about 8 years now. Her salon is bright a welcoming, all the stylists are super sweet and do a great job.
