Thanks Julie for giving me the best haircut experience, I'm really liking the new cut. I will be returning back. So far this is the best haircut I gotten from somebody.

Don’t bother telling them what you want, they’re just gonna give you whatever cut they feel like.

I've had different views on getting haircuts here at this Great clips location. They seem to have gone thru several stylists since they opened. But I have had great experiences with their service except for the last time I was there, which was a week ago. Since being military I've received haircuts on a weekly basis for 20 plus years. I checked in online as usual, walked in was greeted and was checked in. The stylist called me up shortly then she proceeded to cut my hair. They know what my usual haircut is because it's in their system and what the last haircut was. I think my haircut is pretty simple. #5 on top medium fade to skin sub-zero. It's been the same for years. She starts cutting my hair on top first but I notice she's not fully going over the front and side. I'm thinking that's odd, maybe she's going to go over it again later. Then somehow she cuts my front right side shorter than my left. My front left side is twice as long as my front right side. Then she starts on the fade. It's going ok. But then she asks the stylist next to us how do you sub fade with the shaver? The other stylist comes over and shows her but only does half of the fade on the rear right side to middle but leaves her to do the rest on my rear left side. At this time I'm thinking I am a guinea pig and she's just now learning how to do this on me. So she continues to cut the rear left side, does a ok job but doesn't even fade it in, it's just skin to hair no fading! Then says she's done. I'm like what the heck! (Being civil, actually was thinking something else). So she gives me the mirror to check things out, so I point out that my front left side is longer and my front right side is really short. Then point out that my rear left side isn't even faded in, it's just skin to hair and looks blocky. So she starts to fix my haircut but then stops and asks another stylist to look at it. The other stylist had just finished with her other customer and cleaned around her station and comes over to evaluate the situation. She checks my hair then asks me to sit at her station so she can cut my hair with her clippers. I've probably been there like 30 minutes so far. The other stylist goes to work and fixes my haircut and washes my hair in about 15 minutes. The second stylist did her best to fix my hair which was way better than the first one but because the first stylist cut off to much on the front right side there's not a lot the second stylist could do to blend it in without cutting it more. But it was good but not Great. Which is what I usually get from this location, minus this visit. The second stylist finished and didn't charge me. But I still gave her a $5 tip for working (fixing)on my hair. She accepted the tip reluctantly but was professional about the whole incident. I think this was a good learning experience, we learn through our failures. But don't make failures a habit. My hair will grow back and I'll be back again. ☺

Just went there. Had a bad experience. I went to this new location with an open mind since I usually go elsewhere. The place was empty which made sense since it was cold out. This gentleman worker (who I shall not name due to anonyminity) had tattoos, blonde hair, and a nose ring. He had pretty nice hair so I thought he knew what he was doing. I sat down seemingly not knowing what nonsense I was about to endure. I asked him a simple question about my haircut and his answer was "isn't this what you usually get"... that's alright. I go on and tell him what I want and he proceeds by beginning on my sides and back. I anticipated a soft mellow touch of the trimmer with a gentle hand. I was wrong. The stylist held his instrument and pushed against my head as if he were mowing a lawn. He trimmed and he trimmed but it seemed as if he were rushed. Trimming with one hand and cutting with the other. It took him, what seemed like less than a minute to finish trimming the sides and back. At this moment I thought to myself why is this guy rushing so much. Why is he in such a hurry to finish? He then asks me how much I like off the top, and I tell him about half an inch. He begins to cut and cut, but doesn't take a break or a second to see how much he's cutting or not. It seems so quick, more than I've ever encountered. At this moment I stop and think to myself if I should say anything. So I do, big mistake. I ask him why he's in a hurry and why he's rushing so much.. He doesn't understand. He asks me to explain. I tell him I don't want to be rude and rather not. He presses and I withdraw. I tell him how it took him less than a minute to do my sides.. and he's rushing on cutting the top as well. He tells me they're timed on haircuts and that he can re-do the sides again. I tell him I know they're timed but the place is dead and that he's rushing through my haircut like the place is packed. He continues to do the sides again and finishes. He continues to cut the top with forceful might and simmering annoyance. I sit there in complete awkwardness as he finishes. The whole time im thinking, hes going to mess up my hair on purpose now. He finally finishes and asks if I need anything else. I look at my hair and it is off, wrong, cut more from one side and less from the other. At this point I am annoyed as well and have nothing to say. Not like I'm going to have him touch whats left of my hair. While this whole thing is happening this other gentleman who was getting his haircut before me is still sitting there getting the most soothing thorough haircut ever. I'm sure if I got my haircut with the other stylist, she wouldn't have cared as much on time quota as the man who cut my hair. Overall negative experience, still gave a tip. Eh.
