This place did a great job. First, when you walk, in the atmosphere is exactly what I aspire my house to be. Smells like coffee and leather and looks like if Chuck Norris was a building. Bow the young lady that cut my hair did a phenomenal job. I had a dramatic cut from my shoulders to above my ears and she nailed it. Going back when I'm in town.

Nice ambiance, but really, it's a haircut. Do I need paraffin on my hands? I don't know why. One very good point is that the staff is very nice. Since this is place is playing to the always-needing-to-be-impressed millennial, the dark wood (actually plywood 4X8 sheets) and nice music are a pleasant distraction.

You enter the Boardroom to see several comfortable, deep, high-backed leather chairs. This defines an exquisite experience, the utmost quality of service. If you want a professional to trim your hair and beard or shave your head and beard, or one of each; then have that same person take care of your nails and cuticles (H&F), wax (H&F) — you know, all those things that your significant other does monthly or sooner. Oh, it does NOT break the bank. You can choose from several levels of services. No guys, think more platonically than what you are thinking. This is the place.

This was my first experience with the boardroom and I will definitely be back soon. I usually cut my own hair , so I decided to do the benchmark to treat myself and it was awesome. Andrea was my stylist and she did a great job! The entire appointment made me relaxed and is an oasis for men to just get their haircut, enjoy a beer and some other perks if you pay for it. I am strongly considering getting a yearly membership due to my experience today.

I kinda want to give 3-stars and I kinda want to give 5... So, I've been twice and each time I have had a progressively better haircut. So to the point of "can they cut hair?" Yes they can; well. However.. I had somewhat of an odd experience at the payment counter. It seems I got some loose information on my first visit and didn't fully understand that, to get the discount they informed me about, I had to return WITH a card they provided me. It seemed to me that the implication was that, now that I had been and was "in their system" I would get a discounted price moving forward. This was not the case... However, I did refer my dad and it seems when you refer a person, you get a free haircut, which is great! However (again).. This referral was not associated with my account apparently, it was associated with my dad's, which required me letting the counter staff know and them looking it up and THEN I got a free credit. Long story short, their counter process seems clunky, but maybe it was just an off day. Edit: Updated to 5 stars! Purchased my 6 month membership and never looked back! Really very happy with the decision and the consistency of the experience. And I never would have guessed that I would like The Benchmark as much I do. Really a relaxing experience over all! Initial hiccups aside, I really like this place, the stylists and the overall quality of the experience.
